Eagle Vines Golf Club
Played On 11/26/2013Vineyard course, pretty backdrop, Odd hole configuration.
Eagles Vines is pretty. Vineyards, rolling hills, and nice water features. There are some issues. Pace seems to be a problem at this course. It's not the layout, it's the people that always play here that don't get moved along and are slow. The clubhouse was beautiful and the guys in the pro shop are great. The way the course is set up is very odd. Start at 11, play 8 holes stop at the turn and then have to play 10 more. They did this because holes 11-18 are nice but not much more. Rolling hills, easy wide fairways, and undulating greens. Holes 1-11 are great. Much better than the first half. Much. The only other issue is they didn't post the greens were punched. And they were punched, sanded, and poorly rolled. Not true, and decently quick speeds.
Allenmore Golf Course
Played On 11/15/2013Great municipal course
Allenmore is a Tacoma Municipal staple. Fairly short, true greens, and a bit soggy fairways. The clubhouse/pro shop is brand new and really nice, and the restaurant is going to keep people coming back. Very reasonable rates for what the course has to offer although during this time of year it is cart path only.
Suncadia Resort - Prospector Course
Played On 10/29/2013Beautiful course, top 10
Got to play Prospector at suncadia and re affirmed the reason I love mountain golf in the Pacific Northwest. Incredibly challenging pin placements, incredibly fast and true greens, and tee shots to make you doubt yourself. I have played 15 of the "top 20" golf courses our state has to offer and in my opinion this course is arguably #1. Heavily defended greens, some narrow fairways, and a miss putt that will carry a mile. I will be coming back.
Meadow Park at Meadow Park Golf Course
Played On 10/24/2013Right price and great winter play
Not the longest, not the most difficult, but definitely a great course for the money. Well maintained, quick greens, and a great spread from gold tee boxes to blacks it creates a perfect challenge for any golfer.
Lipoma Firs Golf Course
Played On 10/12/2013Fun course, great staff
I played this course in 2006 and it was terrible. Slow greens, grumpy staff, and a rock filled fairway. I played this course in October of 2013 and it was a complete 180. Staff was fantastic and helpful, fast and true greens, and the fairways were in great shape. They really have done a great job for a fun local 27 hole course.
Columbia Point Golf Course
Played On 7/28/2013A great Tri-Cities value
I live in Western Washington but was in Tri-Cities for work and had the time to play the course. Columbia was a great track and totally worth the GolfNow deal. The pace was fine and the greens were quick and true. It's always enjoyable to golf in the warm eastern Washington weather but it was a fun track
Druids Glen
Played On 7/4/2013Nice track, long wait, expensive
Druids Glen is a pretty course, challenging and fun. My only two issues were there was a huge group (18 people) and the starter didn't let anyone play in front of them. This group was drinking, betting on every hole, brought on beer and pizza to the course, and basically ruined our first experience at the course.
White Horse Golf Club
Played On 6/15/2013Perfect conditions, new clubhouse, fast greens.
Heard great things about White Horse and took my dad out for Father's Day. The course exceeded expectations in every aspect. The clubhouse is brand new and the restaurant has excellent food, the fairways and greens were excellent and the course is challenging, but not impossible. It challenges the great golfers and If beginners play forward it can be enjoyed there as well.
Everything was in pristine shape and the course was worth the drive. My only flaw on the day was it was the same day as a "Hackers Tournament". I don't know if it was charity, club, or just friends putting on a tourney but it made for a slow 18 holes. It's not the courses fault for putting on all skill level tourneys, but it should be posted on golf now that a tournament is happening because it definitely slowed our rate of play.
The Home Course
Played On 6/6/2013Beautiful Course, very enjoyable.
Got to play the home course for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent views of Rainier, the puget sound, and the cascade and Olympic mountains. Everything was in great shape.
The Cedars at Dungeness
Played On 2/15/2013Great course, great staff, worth the trip!
I traveled about 2 hours to get to this course. I'd heard so many things from so many other golfers and had the opportunity to try it out. The staff (especially a guy named Garrett S.) were so friendly and accommodating to myself and my girlfriend. They took customer experience to a whole new level and are the reason we'll make the two hour drive again soon. The course was in great shape and luckily we had no rain that day. Excited to play it again!
The Cascade at Gold Mountain Golf Course
Played On 11/27/2012Perfect course, perfect price.
I played Gold Mountain (Olympic course) everything was in great shape, even at the end of November, and we had a great time. The only delay was for frost but everything withy the course was perfect.
Foster Golf Links
Played On 10/31/2012Beautiful course, poor drainage.
Golf Now offered and excellent deal and we purchased it despite weather (60 degrees, moderate rain). The course is very pretty and well layed out. The green river can be seen from almost every hole and the fall colors set for a perfect background. For the price, time, and weather it was nearly perfect! The clubhouse is large and well staffed and Billy Baroo's (restaurant) had excellent food and a great beer list. The only problem we had with the course was the conditions. Very large puddles, almost every sandtrap was like a pool, and the whole course was very saturated. Those conditions were the only reason the course wasn't given a 5/5 was that. Excited to play this course next summer!
Highlands Golf Course
Played On 10/19/2012Short, enjoyable, and inexpensive!
I played this course because I didn't have 4 hours to play an 18. It ended up being 12.50$ for 9 and 7$ more for the back 9. It ended up being challenging although I believe it was a par 29. Easy walking, and fun course.
Mount Si Golf Course
Played On 10/17/2012Pristine views, well maintained
Had a great time at this course. Challening yet not too long, not too short. Very pretty views
Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation I & II Course
Played On 10/3/2012Pretty Courses and the right price
Lakeland was quite a drive but with nearly 70% savings we made the drive! It has three different 9 hole courses called generation 1, 2, and 3. We played Generations 2 and 3. Generation 2 was beautiful and very fun to play. Generation 3 was much newer. It was fairly narrow and pretty straight forward.
Ballinger Park Golf Club
Played On 10/3/2012Pretty Lake views, the right price.
Playing this course was enjoyable and pretty quick. Conditions weren't excellent as the ground was pretty saturated but for Golfnows deal we couldn't complain. Many easy par fours, and prettys 3's, almost every hole has lake views. No carts on the day we were there, and the lady definitely wasn't as nice as she could have been.
Tyee Valley Golf Club
Played On 10/2/2012Cheap, enjoyable, and the right price.
Very Leary to play this course after hearing some prior stories.
For the money this price was great. I am a 21 handicap and this course was narrow and challenging. Fairways need some work but who can complain for the price!
Salish Cliffs Golf Club
Played On 8/11/2012Fantastic Track
This course quickly became one of my absolute favorites. They really do everything right. Clubhouse, bag drop, restaurant, and obviously the course. All fantastic and done right. Challenging and beautiful holes with plenty of tees for golfers of all kind. Can't say enough good about this track.
Capitol City Golf Club
Played On 1/2/2012Great Fairways, slow greens
Walked this Olympia 18 with my old man and a buddy. It was really reasonable rates with a small pro shop and a nice bar. Fairways were great, dry and well cut. Greens had just been punched and sprayed with chemicals and were in rough shape. Tremendously slow. Like putting on carpet. The only other negative was the yardage markers at the Tee boxes and fairways didn't add up. But for the price it was a fun round.
