Tyandaga Golf Course

Hot deals offered by Golfnow includes power cart. We were informed by friendly staff that the grounds would be ruined by power carts when wet. There are very limited paved cart paths so no wonder. And if there are, they are not paved. Tyandaga is hilly with deep down & up slopes. If a senior like us have heart problems, we could have died there. Why did we play then? We drove almost 2 hours to reach the place. Besides, Golfnow will not reimburse or give credit voucher because Tyandaga was not closed that day. Greens are poorly kept. Will never play here again.

If you just want to practice your common shots, this is it. I could have given it 4 stars but it was so muddy in the fairway. It needs a lot of drainage. Greens are ok.

I could have rated the course "excellent" except that there are no signage to direct you to the next tee after finishing a hole. The 2nd tee was so far off to the right that I confused the 4th tee as 2nd since the former was very near.

Very challenging rolling terrain course and well maintained. I will not recommend walking for seniors.

If you want to practice your short game and accuracy at a reasonable price, this is it. Narrow fairways with water hazards and trees. If you can hit straight 70% of the time, you can easily score birdies. The holes may be short but physically challenging.
