Played On 04/06/2019Beautiful course at a great value
Our foursome plays Turtle Creek about 4 times a season and the course is in beautiful shape this early in the season. Each hole is challenging but not overwhelming and the 18th is a spectacular finish.
Scotland Run Golf Club
Played On 08/25/2018Rainy season wear and tear
I love playing Scotland Run but this course seems to have suffered the rain effects . more than any other Philadelphia area track. The greens had burn and mold spots and the tee boxes and fairways should be better in late September. Very disappointed that the high greens fees were not adjusted when this course is in such mediocre shape.
Manor Golf Course
Played On 07/14/2018First time, will certainly return
Manor is a challenging course even at 5400 yards. The elevation changes are what make this course exciting and difficult on our first time out. The greens are smallish but in excellent condition. Cheryl is a great example of how a golf course owner treats her customers like friends.
Linfield National Golf Club
Played On 05/29/2017Another good round at Linfield
I try to play this course twice a month because of the great layout and value. The course is well maintained and the green roll nicely. There are some very, very challenging holes along with some tight fairways. It is important to choose your target off the tee and focus on course management and you will have an outstanding round.
Merlot/Chardonnay at Poppy Ridge Golf Course
Played On 04/23/2017Mountain Branch Golf Course
Played On 08/02/2015Great tract, in poor condition
First time playing while out of town and the facility and the layout are tremendous. However the course is in terrible shape and they blamed it on the rain and the heat. It could be lax maintenance or limited budget but currently it is over priced. I hope that the fall weather will help the course recover.
The Rookery At Marco
Played On 02/27/2015Over Priced for Current Condition
This was the third course in 3 days and certainly in the poorest condition. The head pro called the course hard and fast, we called it green concrete. I understand that fairways are dormant in February but the greens were pool table hard and fast. Irons into the green did not hold our leave ball marks. Chipping was non-existent, rather putting from 20 yards out was the strategy. I suspect on a sunny day in May this course is probably worth $180, but in February it is a $100 course. Otherwise the layout is spectacular and the pace of play was right at 4 hours.
Old Corkscrew Golf Club
Played On 02/26/2015Fun and Challenging Course
Old Corkscrew is certainly a test for all levels of golfers and with course management everyone can score. There is plenty of water and bunkers in strategic locations to make your nervous but the game is to keep in play and you will be rewarded. The layout and landscaping are spectacular with no housing developments lining the course. I think the second time around I would hit more long irons and hybrids to compete with the narrow fairways. The condition of the course was excellent for February.
Thank you for the great review! We love that you love the layout of the course. We are so happy that you enjoyed your round with us and hope you come back soon!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future. Thanks for choosing Nags Head Golf Links.
