Excited to play the TPC Championship course - it was a fun round with lots of challenges. Enjoyed the round although the pace of play was a little slow - course had 150+ people playing it the day we played so likely it contributed to the slowness.

The only issue was the golf carts getting close to the desert areas and essentially 'dying'. We had to manually push two carts out of a 'dead zone' and it was frustrating as we were allowed on the fairway and we were not in the desert but the GPS concluded we were and basically killed the carts.

Also did not like that we were only informed of 'cart path only' holes after check-in as being unfamiliar with the course made it difficult on holes where you had to walk out to your ball. Judging distance was tough and you had bring extra clubs out to determine what was best to use.

Course is forgiving and great for beginners like me but the pace of play was 5+ hours ! The marshall did not do anything to try and address the situation and when you have four groups waiting to play a par 3, then SOMETHING is clearly wrong.

I enjoyed the course but the pace of play was extremely frustrating. One of the golfers we played with had to quit after 14 holes in order to make his dinner reservation.
