The Country Club of Mount Dora
Played On 01/31/2023Love this course
Very hot and more water would have been nice. Generous fairways and greens were not very lush but ran true. Looking forward to playing again as water comes into play often off the tee and knowing where to miss is an asset.

The only reason the course didn’t get a five was the greens had been aerated and sanded. I realize this has to be done and didn’t impact our game . The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s migrating Canada Goose season so be prepared to clean your balls constantly. Looking for to the next round

The greens are in excellent shape and that’s considering the horrible winter that they went thru. The staff is extremely helpful and efficient and we are looking forward to a few more rounds this summer with a breakfast before or a lunch after

Nice track, water comes into play on several holes and fairways slope consistently to the water.

Because of Covid the course had to abide by some fairly strict rules to allow play. That being said, the pro shop employees have been excellent to deal with The course is in great shape and with the extra time between tee times the pace of play is not a problem. We’re looking forward to our next round .
Arrowhead Golf Course

Lots of water but fortunately we were paired up with two who had played it before. So the description and trouble off the tee boxes was greatly appreciated.
Lakewood Country Club

This is a challenging course that is fun to play. The greens are small compared to your usual course, but if you play Lakewood enough, I guarantee your short game will improve . The pro shop staff treat you as if you’re playing your home club and are pleasant and efficient. Looking forward to our next game.

I had played this course prior to Irma so I was concerned about the damages. They lost some beautiful mature trees but the staff must have worked very hard to get the course into the good shape that it’s in. Kudos to them The pro shop staff are pleasant and knowledgeable and give a relaxed atmosphere, like it’s your local club back home. You can hit driver on six holes and if you are looking to work on your short game, this course will test you. It is walkable and a three and a half hour round is easily doable.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 11/22/2017Disappointed
Arriving at the course I dropped our clubs off at drop off. Nobody there, that’s fine I can live with that. Checked in told what cart we were to use and found it. Drove up to first tee and no starter. Three groups had to work out our order. That’s fine I’ll figure out pin placement after first hole. But, it would have been nice to know how to work the large screened GPS. OH, it doesn’t work I found out from a member..... the club was too cheap to subscribe. If you are not going to subscribe, let’s have more than 150 yard barber poles for yardages. Then, having to use a restroom on the course I had to phone the pro shop to get the combination for the door. Four guys in front playing a two man scramble for 18 holes. Where’s the Marshall? Holes were open ahead. We were a two some and eventually asked a single behind to join us. I expect this kind of service at a goat ranch. If you live in Lake Mary play the course it’s fun, but if you have to travel more than five miles go somewhere else.

I've played this course several times and it is in as good a shape as I've seen it. The greens roll true and there are no tight lies in any of the fairways. I happened to talk to the course superintendent ...Doug., during the round and found him to be friendly and knowledgable . Some tough pins along with several false fronts. Looking forward to our next round.
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 10/25/2015Nice course too bad it's managed so poorly.
We played the front nine waiting almost on every shot but not a problem. We made the turn and there were five groups on ten. Apparently two groups ( five guys) were playing a $19.00 replay round. I found out after that they had gone to one but there were people there. So they went back to ten and jumped in front of three groups making the turn. when we showed up they teed off as a three some and then a two some. Later they all joined up as a five some. I might expect this at some goat ranch but Harmony has always been better than this. Get a ranger, get a starter and run this course like it deserves. The young man doing the starting, cleaning clubs, cleaning carts was very apologetic when told the story.....People travel a fair distance to play this course.....treat them better. We won't be back until I hear that they've hired more staff.

Played On 10/10/2015Challenging but wow with the fall colours
The course is very challenging but plays fair because of its excellent condition. The greens have nice pace and roll true except for the occasional goose gift. But that's fall golf in Canada. The pro shop staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a golf course view for a drink and lunch after The food was very good. I think our next round will involve supper with a lake view and a sunset. A great place to spend a few hours......too bad a level lie is not a common occurrence. Namaste
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 10/25/2013The three nines enable the starter to get a bit creative as far as pace of play
The blue course seemed more forgiving than the white. Over all both nines were fun to play and the lady's tee boxes were course friendly for them.
LPGA International - Jones Course
Played On 10/25/2013Both courses are in great shape
If I wasn't staying in Orlando I'd play these courses two or three times a week.
Deltona Club
Played On 11/8/2012Many maintained bunkers
The course for a Friday was too busy. People were waiting for carts to come off the course to go out. A five some played the whole back nine two groups in front of us. Staff were out side the club house and I don't know if it didn't register or this is a normal occurance. We waited every shot. If you going to put players off number 1 and 10 at the same time, as they did, at least have a marshall for pace of play . Won't be back, way too frustrating.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing The Country Club of Mount Dora.
