Indian Hills Golf Resort
Played On 07/06/2018A Gem in the Hills
Indian Hills continues to improve with cart path renovations and improving course condition. Greens are excellent and the fairways are well above average. Multiple tee boxes allow you to make the course as difficult as you desire.
Staff friendliness is great and the proshop is well stocked to meet most support needs.
Hungry -- try the Little Red Restaurant across the parking lot.
Little Rock's Hindman Park Golf Course
Played On 07/03/2018Great Greens
., without exception, are some of the best in central Arkansas. Fairways are improving but still are not lush ... Course condition continues to improve with each visit.
Hard to find this quality at a public course. Go & enjoy!
Little Rock's Hindman Park Golf Course
Played On 06/14/2018but, yardage markings are needed in fairways.
Hindman is in good condition showing the benefit of good grounds keeping. Greens are mostly in great shape. Fairways still need to fill in some more.
Little Rock's Hindman Park Golf Course
Played On 05/07/2018Great Greens
The Hindman greens are excellent!!! They are fully grassed, no foreign grass and in near perfect shape.
The fairway grass is sparse. It appears the groundsmen are working this with aeriation.
Maybe I missed the others, but I found only ONE water station on the whole course.
Staff was friendly and seemed happy we were there. Good round to be repeated.
The Greens at North Hills
Played On 04/17/2018but, yardage markings are needed in fairways.
Staff is exceptionally capable and accommodating within their ability.
Course is about par for the time of year; greens are better than most now.
It is difficult to judge distance to the green as most fairway distance markers are either missing or difficult to find. Suggest the course take a look at these. A previous suggestion for more pointer signs to the next tee box has been done and is working well. Thx.
Longhills Golf Course
Played On 04/11/2018Coming Along
Longhills GC would be difficult to walk as many tee boxes are far from the last green.
The greens are pretty good but many have foreign grass knots that do not appear to have been treated. The fairways are underdeveloped and needing some TLC. The grass is sparse and cut very short.
Carts and pro shop were fine. But, there is no food or grill available.
Overall, the course is OK but not as good a value as the many public courses in the LR area.
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes
Played On 03/13/2018Getting Better
Fairways have not 'blossomed' for full turf. Grass is there but is short and pretty thinly growing at this time. Greens were, for the most part, very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome. The course layout is challenging. Bring your A game.

Slowest weekend round of the year. Appeared to be no on-course marshal to keep the TV pros moving a bit faster. Probably averaged a 5 minute wait on each tee box and more in the fairway.
Course was in excellent shape for fall golf. Leaves were, for the most part, removed from fairways and greens.
Except for the slow play, it was very enjoyable and well worth repeating.
The Greens at North Hills
Played On 10/24/2017Where am I, and how do I find the next hole?
We were welcomed and got started early as requested. Fantastic. Boy, was it windy, but it was fun to be on the course.
The greens were really great for this time of year. The fairways, however, were showing the lack of rain lately.
There are very few level fairways as most slope one way or another in this terrain. Makes it more interesting and more difficult.
We practically had the course to ourselves because of the wind so had no waiting anytime.
One complaint/observation: It was often difficult to find our way from green to the next tee box. Cart paths crossed, and very few pointer signs were available to keep us on track. The small layout map on the score card helped some but more signs & arrows are needed. Suggest a few more hints be posted appropriately to help vector players around the course.
All-in-all, this is a nice course operated by nice people. The bar/restaurant is really above par. Try it, you will like it.
Indian Hills Golf Resort
Played On 08/28/2017Another enjoyable round at Indian Hills
Course is in great shape. Fairways are near lush; greens are in their prime (maybe a touch long -- slow and tricky for bent grass?). We had a heck of a bargain fee so it was well worth the price. It is worth the regular rack rate just to play the course and enjoy the scenery. Nice folks in the club house and on the course, too.
The First Tee of Central Arkansas - Chairman's Course
Played On 05/30/2017Gnats, Gnats and more Gnats
Round was dominated by hungry swarms of biting gnats. All else soon became secondary.
$24 cart rental fee was very high (Not included in Golf Now price.).
I recommend this course only with full disclosure -- 9 holes only, pricey cart fee, check the gnat status, don't expect too much, don't pay too much.
Greens were EXCELLENT; as good as any played this season to date. Fairways were also pretty good. Terrain is pretty rocky and sand traps are in un-maintained condition and unplayable on most of the course.
There could be a few more signs directing players to the next tee box or to clubhouse. There are no cart path so sometimes you just had to guess where to go next.
The Country Club of Arkansas
Played On 04/18/2017A Muddy Day on The Cart Paths.
Well deserved cart path only restriction after all the rain--neat how the carts remind you if you stray off the paths. Yes, the new carts with GPS are nice!
The course has very few near-level-to-level pin placements making putting a challenge. Good for some and not so good for others.
Several greens had several spots of poana? grass that did not appear to have been treated this year.
Practice facilities are good.
We were disappointed that the water stations on the course did not have fresh ice water for the golfers. A small thing, but easily remembered.
Overall, an OK outing.
Executive at Rebsamen Park Golf Course
Played On 03/22/2017It will get better soon.
GolfNow bargain outing, just a twosome with average ability.
Staff, as always, friendly and accommodating. As the course was not nearly crowded, we were afforded all the flexibility we needed plus some.
Greens are excellent for this time of year; the fairways are practically bald with the grass just starting to grow -- hopefully, the superintendent will let it grow some before shaving it all off again.
I think Rebsamen Park will be outstanding a little later, but for now, Burns and Hindman seem to be a little better.
Try it, I think you will like Rebsamen, too.
Indian Hills Golf Resort
Played On 01/21/2017Nice people, nice course.
We used a GolfNow coupon to play this mid-winter day. Reception in the pro shop was excellent (Thanks Rebecca).
The course was well drained considering the rain recently. Carts were allowed on the fairways.
The course is a beautiful scenic layout with plenty of challenge for any player. Even in the dead of winter, grounds were well maintained, greens were in great shape, and great effort had been taken to remove leaves, etc from the course. Kudos to the staff!
We would recommend visiting Indian Hills GC. I can't wait to try it when the grass is green!
Little Rock's Hindman Park Golf Course
Played On 11/29/2016Great staff & Good condition course.
Considering the two inch rain the previous night, the course was in pretty good shape. Lots of leaves from the storm but those were being removed. The greens were in really good shape. We played from the gold (senior) tees. These tees were difficult to locate in the leaves and grass. Maybe a little bright color to make them more visible would help.
In my opinion, the golds really shorten the course too much and take out a lot of challenge. Play the whites for a better game.
Thank you for your nice review.
It was my pleasure to make your visit to the course a memorable one. Hopefullly you can come back to see us soon. Maybe even come play in some a tournament or two. They will be starting up soon.
