Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Champions Course

Beautiful day- sunny slight wind
Fairways were good, but the greens were very firm and did not hold well.
Tee boxes were not level, my wife stepped in a depression on the tee box and twisted her ankle. 3rd hole.
The bunkers were unplayable- no sand so could not get under the ball to elevate it over the 6 foot lips.
The lay out is challenging enough without hard greens and gnarly green side rough.
The course needs some TL C.

The front nine is quite congested. The back opened up a bit more. Very short but would be a long executive course.
The greens were a little sparse, but firm. Fairways in good condition. It is built on a small property so each hole is right beside another. Played in just under 4 hours at twilight rate.

Mesquite Golf & Country Club

Had a 12 o’clock tee time and we teed off on time. Finished at 3:45. The course / greens had some debris on them- we decided to play winter rules and that solved the problem. The range was quite busy but we still found a place to warm up. A nice sunny day with little to no wind- so very enjoyable. Greens were probably running around 9-91/2.and were spotty in places but overall very playable. Tee boxes were the weakest groomed part of the course

The course was on a frost delay of two hours. The fairways were ok not great. The greens were fast but not awesome. Pace of play -5 hours too long. The coyote on the tee box - priceless.

Legends Golf Club

The layout was spectacular. Lots of elevation change. Too bad the course was closed the previous two days because of rain so the conditions had lots of casual water. The fairways were tight and not much grass. The sand traps had minimal sand. The rough was a bit spotty. GolfNow said it was 39 miles from PS but that must be as thecrow flies as it was 72 miles by road.. all in all a good day- greens were very good.

Well groomed, greens were awesome, the fairways were perfect,sand in bunkers was a little scarce in spots but that is a hazard. Pace of play was great.

We played for $9 per person so it was unreal for the money. Having said that though when we travel to Phoenix we always try to play Ocotillo anyway. This was just a bonus. The course was fantastic as usual.
