Two Eagles Golf Course and Academy
Played On 07/21/2015Well maintained and challenging.
I really liked playing this course. The staff are very friendly and the course is always well maintained. They've got a great driving range and putting/chipping area.
The course is deceptive, looks easy but there's a lot of challenges so club selection is important.
The greens are undulating and many are tiered so you've got to think about your putting. There's also quite a few water hazards to make it interesting.
It's only a par 65 but playing this course will certainly sharpen up your short game. I played from the whites so you need to be sharp with your drives too!
I would love to play it again.
Shuswap National
Played On 09/11/2014A beautiful course in beautiful condition
This course was in fantastic condition and the greens were excellent. It's a challenging course in a beautiful setting. The fairways were well groomed, greens were fast and true and the amenities were great too. You had to make some crucial decisions with club selection but were rewarded when making a good shot. There were some severe dog-legs, steeply elevated greens etc, making it very interesting. The bunkers are deep, make sure you swing through. Well worth the 2 hour drive! Can hardly wait to play it again.
Eaglepoint Golf Resort
Played On 08/01/2014Scenic, challenging, friendly staff, perfect!
It was quite a hot day when we played so we took a cart, the price was excellent, $40!! This course is very interesting, lots of doglegs and elevation changes and tricky spots to land the ball. Club selection is important. The views are great too. The staff was super friendly, we got there a bit early but they put us on right away. It was nice to see so many amenities on the course, lots of water stations and restrooms. I really enjoyed playing this course and can't wait to play it again!
Roddy Ranch Golf Club
Played On 11/24/2013A hidden gem!
This is one of the best courses in the Bay Area. Always in great condition with fast greens and well maintained fairways. A good driving range and practice area too. This is a challenging course, and club selection can be a bit tricky for some of those greens at the end of an uphill fairway. I really like playing here because you're playing on the ranch land with no houses nearby. The view at the end of #18 is quite spectacular. This is one of my favourite courses to play in the Bay Area because it's always consistently in great condition.
Hiddenbrooke Golf Club
Played On 11/18/2013Awesome course!
This is a beautiful course with challenges at all levels, however I don't think it's a course for a beginner. The staff were very friendly and cheerful even for a cold day
Each hole is exciting, there's a different kind of challenge every time you step up to a new tee box, I loved it! Unfortunately we were there only 2 weeks after aeration so the greens weren't as good as they could be. I'm not complaining, after all, the course has to be maintained.
The par 3's are so picturesque, and each of them have a unique challenge, #17 in particular is so pretty with the water feature but you have to make sure you've got enough club to clear it!
This is now one of my favourite courses and I can hardly wait to play it again!
Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course
Played On 11/13/2013Great course with magnificent views!
A very challenging course with hardly any flat lies. Many times you're hitting to a very elevated green so choose your club wisely! The views are stunning and the 18th hole is a unique experience as it's the only par 6 that I've ever played. This is a wonderful course to play.
DarkHorse Golf Club
Played On 11/7/2013Beautiful course in a beautiful setting
Loved it! The greens were very fast, putting practice is a must before starting your round. The course was in great condition for this time of year. It's a real challenge to have to decide where to place each shot, and with the false fronts on many of the elevated greens, you've got to make sure you have enough club. It was a very enjoyable course to play and i can hardly wait to come again!
Ledgeview Golf and Country Club
Played On 10/3/2013Great course!
This is a great course with plenty of challenges. Also good for walking, although there is quite a bit of undulation. The greens had just been cored but they were still in great shape. The greens are quite a good size and very deceiving, it pays to have a good look before your putt! There are 2 very challenging par 3's that are over a ravine, lots of fun to try to get over, make sure you go up a club or 2. It's a beautiful course and very well maintained, most of the fairways are wide and tree-lined. It had rained a lot in the previous week so things were a bit soggy but overall it's a wonderful course and I can hardly wait to play it again!
Shadow Ridge Golf Club
Played On 09/26/2013Good value and a good time.
The greens were in good condition, the whole course was in great shape. We got a screaming deal ($12) for a round, so I sure can't say anything bad!
The staff were super friendly, the pro shop and the clubrooms were very nice.
The course is fairly long, and it poses a challenge for all types of players, with water coming into play on a few holes.
I would highly recommend this course, especially if you like walking, as it's quite flat.
The Falls Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2013Great views!
This course has fantastic views and great elevation changes.
It's a challenge for all types of players but unfortunately it seems to have been neglected. The greens are quite bumpy and the bunkers have terrible sand, too many big rocks.
We were told (bythe extremely nice starter person) that they have great specials on mon and tues for seniors ($30 cart included). I would play again for this price!
Twin Lakes Golf Course
Played On 5/11/2013Good value and a good time.
It's a bit out of the way, but well worth the trip as they usually have some good deals such as $10 Tuesday. The course is well maintained and the staff are very friendly. The course is challenging enough for all levels of players (blue, white and red tees) and the setting is beautiful.
NkMip Canyon Desert Golf Course
Played On 9/21/2012Great value for the money. Course is challenging, and always in great condition. A real desert course with beautiful scenery.
I really like this course, it's challenging, the scenery is beautiful and it's a real desert course. Fairways are pristine and usually the greens are in great shape. It's a beautiful setting with no houses around. The whole layout is interesting, definitely not a boring course, you wind through the hillside, some greens are elevated, some tee boxes are elevated, with great views from most of them. The deals I find on GolfNow make it very good value for the money.
