Wolves Crossing Golf Club
Played On 6/2/2013Not a good course. Has potential, needs LOTS of work
I have played many of the courses in the St. Louis area and surrounding. This is by far the least enjoyable one I have played. When I was there, the fairways were in terrible shape, there were only good patches that were actually "fairway shape" to hit out. The rough was very tall, not in a good challanging way. Just in a way that made me lose my ball when I had it land 10 yards off the fairway. I ended up leaving after the 13th hole because I was sick of losing balls that I should have easily found, as well as should have had a fine approach shot. Do yourself a favor and do not go here until they figure their things out. Many many other courses in St. Louis - IL that are 100x better.
Ruth Park Golf Club
Played On 5/28/2013Pretty good course for the price, fun to go to every now and than for a quick round
A good course. The holes are all relatively easy but if you are looking to go out with a friend and just have a good time than its a good course. Generally the pace is about 1.5-2 hours for 9 holes depending on how many people are out. I have finished 9 in about 70 minutes when it was just me. There are no sandtraps on the course, but the course is well enough maintained that it is still fun.
Emerald Greens Golf Course
Played On 6/14/2012Great Course Layout and Fairway maintnence. Slow Greens
The course layout is absolutely beautfiul. The 18th hole, hitting island to island is one of my favorite holes I have ever played. The course over was very well maintained. My only complaints were that the Course was poorly marked for distances, however it isnt bad enough where you dont know distances. You are always able to figure them out one way or another. But they should try to label all of their sprinklers. Also, the greens were SUPER slow. More slow than any o ther course I have ever played. So it gets some time to get used to. However I STRONGLY recommend people to play this course. I would definately pay full price to play it. However, getting it for 20$ on golfnow is absolutely amazing.
