Coyote Run Golf Course
Played On 08/18/2020Playing early
Most of my golf is played early mornings. One of the issues I encounter playing so early is dewy greens . My tee time was 6:30am - all of the greens were dew free, cut and maybe even rolled. Course layout is good, conditions good. Good job all round.

Well laid out, cart path follows the course well if you haven’t played there before - my first time. Greens quite fast, but tracked well. Decent sand in the traps. Grounds team does a good job. No complaints, will play again

The driver didn’t come of the bag much today, this course is about putting your ball in the right spot - A thinking mans golf course. Greens are challenging, lots levels and undulations, also decently fast, but seemed true. Thoroughly enjoyed my round, Glad I was out on an early tee time though, by the time I was finishing at 10am it looked busy. Definitely will be adding this track to my rotation!

I will get the minor issues out of the way first. Course is a bit water-logged and greens are a bit chopped up here and there -but that's to do with environmental conditions from what I understand and not lack of maintenance, that in itself would not be enough to prevent me from playing there again considering the price. What does prevent me from wanting to play there again is the number of tee boxes with massive, overhanging trees that encroach your field of view so much that often you are left with an. extremely narrow window of opportunity to place your drive. I'm an experienced golfer and understand different courses present their own themes of challenges - water, deep rough, crazy number of bunkers or whatever. However there are a fair number of holes at Highland park that don't even give you a chance to get your drive off depending on your shot shape, in some cases you can only aim to the right side because of the sheer vastness of overhanging trees so close to the tee box on the left. How can a player with a cut or fade aim to the right? Very frustrating all day, didn't seem fair to me?
