I play here a couple times a year. A little pricy ($70) for weekend morning. But the course conditions were great. Greens were smooth and quick, fairways were nice, and rough was decent. Tee boxes not so great, but still just fine. The lady in the snack bar could use a customer service refresher though.

Course is over seeding for winter. The tee boxes are full of manure, and the greens are healing from being punched. In 4 weeks, should be nice again. The layout is nice, very narrow and small greens. But overall, a fair course. Worth playing every now and then. I'd recommend. But wait till December for the course to heal. It will be nice.

Yes, we are in a major drought. That being said, the course was in great condition. A few brown spots here and there, but fairways were nicely groomed, greens were great, and the staff is so friendly. Much better value than Monarch or Pelican, but no ocean views. But I'd rather save $200 and play here.
Great layout, interested holes. Some blind shot, some medium and short par 5's.
Overall, highly recommend!

What a great course! I was staying at Secrets, and was deciding between here, and Vista Vallarta. Vista is about 30 minutes farther.
I could not be happier I chose to play here. I tee'd off at 8:30am, and had the whole course to myself. It was very humid (expected this time of year), so not too many golfers. The course, while damp, was in fantastic shape. The tee boxes were decent, but the fairways and greens were EXCELLENT!! I was so impressed. Everyone said to go to Vista Vallarta, and I'm so glad I decided to play here (mainly to get back to the hotel faster). Some holes have amazing homes on them, and the holes with water are amazing. There even is a crocodile habitat on the back nine. One hole along the ocean, which gives you expansive views of the Puerto Vallarta coast.
All the staff was extremely friendly. Rental clubs were a little old, but when you play golf on vacation with rentals, I'm fine with whatever I'm provided (older taylormade RAC irons).
There were signs that course maintenance (punching greens and fairway seeding) was to start in the beginning of October, so I got out at the perfect time.
I highly recommend, as it's close to all the resorts and was only a $6 USD cab ride from our hotel.

Amazing private club in Upland/Rancho area. If you have the chance to play it, DO IT!!
Great course conditions, greens are impeccable, it truly is a course worth playing!

Pros:
Great conditions - Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all very well kept. Bunkers are even decent.
Cons:
EXPECT TO TAKE A LONG TIME!! If you go into your round knowing it will take at least 5 hours, it won't be as bad. If you think you'll finish in under 4 1/2 hours, you are just lying to yourself. We played as a 4 some on 8/8/15, and we played in 5 1/2 hours. We usually only come here with a group of 5, but one player flaked this week. So it just felt like a long round. Just expect this and it won't be shocking when you tee off at 9am, you finish at 2:30pm. This is the norm here.

Overall decent for a Saturday round. We finished in just over 4 hours and tee'd off at 8:30am on a Saturday. Greens are nice and roll true. Fairways are decent. Rough gets a little patchy in some places, other spots there is no rough. Lots of trees - gotta hit it straight. Fair course, good value. We will be back.

What can I say that hasnt been said already? This is one of my favorite courses in Vegas, about a 30 minutes drive out of the city. All 3 courses are always in excellent shape. Never seen them not in great condition. Staff is always friendly and professional. They are very nice to locals too. Why gamble on your golf outing? Choose Paiute and you're good to go!

I have played and enjoyed Carlton Oaks for over 15 years. Played today, 4/1, and the course was in great shape! Greens are awesome and are very nice (I heard they are punching them in mid April though). The staff is so nice, practice facilities are nice, and restaurant serves great food. Not to mention top notch golf. The course is tough, but fair, and and its in great condition. I highly recommend!!

I played 3/31, the greens are punched and sanded. Still, the course is in decent shape. I love the track, and it's a nice course to play, especially with an online deal. I recommend to play once the greens are back in shape.
