A decent round with perfect weather.

The clubhouse is pretty astounding from the outside. Decent on the inside and there was a movie being shot the day of our round but did not interfere with our entry/exit at all.

The practice green was just ok as it was slow - much slower than the course greens. However, there was a brown, i believe heron, standing beside us while we putt for 15 mins which was a neat start to the round. I don't believe we saw any other wildlife except small birds.

Fairways were decent for May. I don't believe there to be much mud or moisture and I think 95% of my shots were off pure grass. And the rough was normal. Sand was average as well. No major rocks or firm bunkers.

Greens were nice and quick. A few spots where the winter was not kind to them but overall I'd rate them 8/10. There were a couple of monster greens and they were well maintained.

Course layout was just ok for me. A few really tough holes from the tips. The yardage did not play true for myself. Club up on most yardages - just my opinion.

Overall it was a perfect day for golf at a good course. I would've enjoyed it more if I walked and it was a bit pricey for myself for cart and the round mid day and week. I would recommend to a friend, but I'd take my chances and book the other 18 instead of the links. I've heard it's a better round for the average golfer.

A good track for the money.

Staff were great and informative. The practice putting surface is nice. It seems small because of where it is but its pretty roomy.

The fairways were nice with some spots with little grass. I probably had 10 shots hitting off very sparse grass or out of a divot. A few wet spots but nothing too serious. Overall pretty good shape for May.

Sand was nice and good sized traps. The only complaint was on 2 of my 3 bunker shots I had to remove pretty large stones from my swing path prior to shooting. I play by the rules but in this case I removed the golf ball sized rocks before taking my shots!

The greens were nice, receptive and rolled true. The cups were cut well and I enjoyed the pin placements.

Course layout was where I found some pros and cons. #3 should have the tee blocks higher to be able to play over the gorge to the elevated green. This hole sets you up for failure. It's really demanding from the tee but there is more room than you can see. Certainly my least favorite hole. However, the rest of the course had a good variety with excellent views. along the way.

The course needs some work on proper signage and where to drive the carts and how to get to the next hole. I think I took 3 wrong turns and I wasn't even drinking.

We played on a Saturday at 10am and found it not too busy.. We had a non-golfer with us and ended up right on par for time by the end. I believe we were 13 minutes behind after the first 6 holes however, and the marshall ensured we knew that. I think he did a decent job of being polite and letting us know the course was busy and we needed to pick up the pace a bit.

The golf carts have a built-in GPS but we found the voice commands delayed and it would literally talk in our back swing.. The carts however have an excellent GPS and were comfortable.

Overall it was a good experience and we all enjoyed the round. I would recommend but don't expect perfection - expect a decent bang for your buck though.

Good bang for your buck.

For a 12-hole course I think this is one of the better ones. A small clubhouse, friendly staff and a decent enough practice facility. If I had to say anything bad it was the driving range. I would not go back to that - stick to the putting greens. I believe they had a chipping green as well but we didn't check that out.

Course layout was decent but a bit crammed. It was a challenging walk but lots of wildlife and great views from hole 9-12.

Fairways on the par 4's were average and I hit almost all shots from grass - no mud. The one bunker I found I had to remove a big stone but the sand felt nice.

The greens were nice and rolled pretty true.

One negative was the hole that has a few power lines running perpendicular to your tee shot. I managed to fly directly through the 4 and find the green, but if you hit one your ball is gone. You are hitting over a gorge from your 130yd tee shot. They could move the tees to the right and avoid the power lines but it's a lot of work I know so this won't happen!

Overall a nice round and good bang for your buck. If you go on a weekend expect a near 3 hr round.
