Good Views

This course was recommended to us by friends and it did not disappoint. The only drawback was that on the back nine there was a lot of construction happening with the building of houses so lots of noisy machines. But it was nice to play the course with no homes around it. Front nine had a higher elevation and afforded some good views of the valley and surrounding hills. Fairways were in good condition with strategically placed bunkers which were inconsistent and had lots of stones in them. Fairways were undulating as were the greens which to me did not hold the line. Good pro shop and bar dining area although dinner is only served Thursday through Saturday. Limited appetizer menu but an excellent gin and tonic. Going back to play the North course.

Pretty course

Fairways and greens were in good condition. Some very pretty holes with nice landscaping. It was a very windy chilly day when we played so they had a lot of cancellations. However being a twosome it was slow going as two foursomes in front of us did not wave us through. Some golfers need to read the etiquette section of the rule book.
Anyway we did enjoy the course, and we had to employ some strategy in ball placement off the tee. I like it when a golf course makes you think. Did not sample the dining area but it looked a bit sparse.

Arnold design

Had to start at the 8th due to maintenance. Got a bit lost on the way back to the clubhouse as the ninth did not come back to the clubhouse. The course wound it's way through various housing developments crossing various roads. The course was full so play was slow. We were out as a twosome so a long day for us. However despite that we had a good golfing experience, fairways, greens were in good shape and bunkers were OK. Not too difficult but had enough interesting features such as arroyos crossing in front of the greens and plenty of fairway bunkersNot much water which didn't really come into play except off the tips. One of the better courses we have played in the area and we got a good deal through Golfnow otherwise I think the courses here are overpriced.
