Unusual, but challenging must play in Sandhills area

Having played this course about a dozen times our group has grown to love it ( except Terry). Playing it for the first time was difficult with blind shots and left us shaking our heads sometimes, but once the round ended we remarked how enjoyable the course was. We play it every time we are in NC and would not miss it. Don't let the yardage fool you , you will use every club in your bag. It starts with the opening tee shot right to the final approach at 18, this course will keep you thinking. Definitely a must play !

Best Course in Northern Ireland

Played this gem on 4th day of our 7 day trip and it was consensus best course of our tour. Everything was top notch , including the bar man and choice of fine Irish Whiskey's at the half-way house. The course and vistas are both memorable. Beware of the largest bunker in the world on 17, my friend Todd managed to find it. I cannot wait to go back and would encourage anyone who has a chance to play here to DO IT ! You will not be disappointed.

Tale of Two Nines

The Strand Course is quite different front to back. The first hole offering a daunting tee shot from a severely elevated tee , with great views of the surrounding area. The front nine offers a great real of elevation change with interesting and challenging holes. We truly enjoyed it. The back nine however was a little mundane and appeared to be an afterthought and not anything like the front. Overall a good day of golf with my buddies, but uninspired finish. The course was either loved or hated by the group.

Great Course, underrated .

We played this early in the day and the winds were down. The course is challenging but not penalizing. Every hole had its own character and the course very diverse. The view on the 15th tee with the ocean right is a great spot for a picture. It is a great golf experience, and would encourage anyone to play it if given the chance.
