I was amazed at the speed of play for a Saturday on a holiday weekend. We played as a twosome and did not have to wait at all until the back nine. Course conditions were very nice.

I am not sure what happened today, bit at times, there were four groups on a hole and multiple groups on tee boxes. The Friday afternoon round took 5 hours and 10 minutes.. The marshals said they couldn't do anything, it was just backed up!

The course needs some work. Fairways have a variety of grasses and weeds so lies can be irregular. The rough is deep and inconsistent. Lots of uneven areas and weeds give the course a worn out look. Cracked and weedy cart paths. The clubhouse has little merchandise and need refurbished. It is a little depressing. The restaurant was closed on a Sunday afternoon.

This classic course is not long but, it requires proper placement off the tee and good approach shots. The greens are in great shape but, have many subtle breaks. The staff is always excellent. They go out of their way to serve and make sure your experience is a good one.

Challenging layout includes hills, doglegs and forced carries. A challenge but, not punitive due to generous fairways. The greens are very nice but, have subtle breaks so, two putts are not guaranteed. It plays long due to the hills so, choose the correct tees or be prepared to hit long irons into the greens. It was a little wet the day I played so the course won but, I look forward to playing again. The only drawback is the fairways are a bit uneven at the edges but, it fits with the natural look of the course. Food is great!!!

After suffering from the drought in past years the fairways are much improved. Poor lies which were common are now rare. The greens are consistent. The only rough spot remaining is the sand traps which need more sand.

The course, especially the rough and transition areas still indicate this area is in a drought. The fairways are provide good lies although the grass is a bit tall perhaps because it was a long weekend? The greens roll well but, are undulating so, not simple to read. The holes are laid out with variety, no duplicate out and back! Although the fairways are lined with homes they are set well back, they do not come into play. I want a rematch, especially with the greens.

We had a noon tee time but, were able to start early. No groups in front or behind us so, it was a three hour round despite gusty winds. The fairways and rough are very nice leading to consistent good lies. The greens were difficult to hold but, this may have been due to the wind. The greens did putt very true with consistent speed. The only drawback was no on course restrooms. My wife did not think a $50+ course would have porta-potties.
