Without question, the best kept secret in the desert as the course layout, driving range, pace of play, value, and service are all fantastic!

Five years ago, even three years ago, this used to be the course to play within 30 miles of the Coachella valley. Present day, not so much. While the greens as usual were in good condition, the rest of the course looked ignored. I don’t know if this course is under new management, is struggling financially, or is simply letting the course go over the summer which is all understandable. However, charging 70.00 for a course that is clearly in a transitional state is “embarrassing” which is a direct quote from an employee, who knew the difference. Let’s hope this course gets back to where it used to be.
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course

From the moment I step out of my car, check into the pro shop, or check in at the first hole, I am greeted immediately with a warm welcome. While there are tons of courses to play in the Coachella valley, it's tough to play elsewhere when you are treated so well by the entire staff.
I have seen a few negative posts about the staff at this course and you'd have to be a sour individual to not get along with the individuals that run this fantastic facility.
For the price, the course is an absolute steal with a great layout and beautiful backdrops throughout the round.
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Champions Course
Played On 08/27/2016Lack of attention to detail
I never write a review but today I'm making an exception. Upon arrival, I walked into the pro shop to pay for my tee time only to be asked to wait one minute while the front desk agent finished a personal text on his phone. During the transaction, I asked if they were busy and was told that they were wide open. (The course was packed......)
After exiting the pro shop, I drove to the first tee and the Marshall also told me that the course was wide open.... (How does the Marshall not know how busy the course is?) There were at times 3 groups on one hole and no marshalls in sight to encourage fast play.
After the completion of my round, I walked upstairs to get something to drink, nobody was available so I left. When walking back down the stairs, I asked a cart attendant if he could clean my clubs before I leave and he told me he was on break and walked away.
While the course conditions were good, the lack of service and attention to detail was so bad that I actually thought I was being punk'd.......
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - North Course

Course is always in outstanding condition. I aced the seventh hole, a par 3 of 160 yards that is over water and the green is surrounded by bunkers. This was my second Ace, my first was 22 years ago.

Oak Valley in my opinion is one of the best layouts within 30 miles of Palm Springs. Not a super long course, but a course that challenges you to hit it straight as the course is lined with tons of bunkers and a good amount of water.
From tee to green, this course is very well maintained and is a must play whether you live in Los Angeles or Palm Springs.
