Well when I called to book I was told the course was in good shape! Well it was the worst I've ever seen it! From tee to green it was absolutely horrible...staff is always great..and so is the grill but I came to play golf...save your money and go elsewhere till they reopen next year!

Getting better.. finally someone out there to regulate slow play.. fairways are getting better but greens we're slow and inconsistent..overall ok for the price.

The views were amazing..fairways amazing..greens were recovering from being punched and there were a few sprinkler head issues the tee boxes on some holes were kinda raspy or it would've gotten 5 stars..staff was awesome and accomodating..might just be the best overall public course in the county..just wish this track had a little more length..

Absolutely horrendous conditions on friars course!! Best thing about this place are the bunkers...play in front of us was very slow and people in back of us were hitting into us..almost got in a fight with idiots in back of us and I was with my wife...unreal..don't play friars or you'll be asking for your money back..greens were fast but in horrible condition.. Fairways were the very worst I've ever seen and the rough was spotty and not taken care off...when I told staff about it they offered to give me a free 9 hole round on mission but to drive from Alpine for nine holes was no bueno...since they wanted to charge me the nine hole rate at 35 a piece...no thanks river walk...bad business on a bad course...tho presidio was better still not worth it...try elsewhere...ih and beware that golfnow doesn't let you know which courses your playing till you play...I would check with the course before you pay...worst experience ever

This course us getting better by the week...greens are getting better and were lightning fast..best test of golf in town...keep up the good work!

My wife and I had a blast here!! Love the layout..very challenging and the greens were perfect... Can't wait to take her again..

Had a great time...carts were fast..staff was great..greens were fast...and the view fantastic!!..what more could you ask for...
