Tomahawk Hills Golf Course
Played On 07/05/2019Fairways and Greens in Great Shape
With all of the rain the KC Metro has received over the last couple of months I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the fairways and greens. I got a nice "hot deal" for a 1:44 tee time so I was put with a two some, it took us about four hours to complete the round which was impressive considering this was the day after 4th of July and the course was pretty packed. One thing I really like about this course is that they don't overcharge for a small bucket of range balls. I paid $3.50 for roughly 30 balls. I don't usually warm up before a round but for $3.50 it was definitely worth it. The greens rolled true and there were few divots. Since this was my second time out at the course I had a better idea of where to aim on the several blind shots that this course provides. If you are going to be playing out here for your first time I recommend playing with a group of 3 or 4 or at the very least playing with someone who has played the course before. The Marshals are very friendly and professional. I really enjoyed my round and will definitely be back.
Hawk's Landing Golf Club
Played On 06/28/2018Private Course Experience with a Public Course Price
Was on vacation in Orlando last week and had no intent on playing any golf during the week. However, as I walked the grounds at the resort we were staying at I noticed on the other side of the fence line was a really nice looking golf course. I did some research and found out that it was Hawks Landing. I went on Golfnow just to check out the price to play, turned out they had a hot deal for $30 so I jumped at the opportunity to play. The cost of rentals was only $50 and for the first time ever I actually received a left handed stiff set and it was the new Taylormade M4's as well. From the moment you step into the clubhouse you are treated like a guest of the hotel or a member of the course, fantastic customer service and helpful staff. Took less than 15 minutes to check-in, get my rental clubs, and head to the practice range to hit a few balls. I showed up about 30 minutes before my tee time and about 15 til the starter asked if we were ready to get started in hopes of beating in the impending severe weather that was set to reach us in a couple hours, so we jumped at the opportunity. The fairways rolled really well, a few dark spots but mostly on higher elevated areas which is expected, greens rolled so true and weren't overly fast. Pace of play was a little slow for the first seven holes due to a tournament finishing up but after that we completed the last 11 holes in less than 2 and a half hours. Overall a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone who lives in the Orlando area or is on vacation.
Heritage Park Golf Course
Played On 06/17/2018Father's Day
This is the second time I have played Heritage in just under a month using the Hot Deal, for $18 this is the best deal in the KC metro. Greens are the highlight of this course, they are running very true and decent speed. For the small amount of rain we have received this spring the course is still very green, tee boxes in great shape and the rough is very thick. I recommend you bring 5-10 extra golf balls with you because of how deep the rough is. I had 3 tee shots that landed just off the fairway and it took me a couple minutes to track the ball down in the rough. The round took just under four hours and the pace of play was never an issue. A hidden gem in Olathe that is worth the drive.
Tomahawk Hills Golf Course
Played On 09/07/2015Labor Day Rainy Day
After the thunderstorms Sunday night I wasn't sure if we would even get to play but the course was in pretty good shape. Lots of blind tee shots and elevation changes. The views on the par 3 9th and 18th are incredible. You really need to know your yardages when you play here. Not a lot of people out on the course so pace of play was just under 4 and a half hours.
Heritage Park Golf Course
Played On 08/29/2015Front 9 greens need work
I love the layout of this course and from the tips it plays pretty long when the wind picks up. The front 9 greens look awful but my group was warned prior to teeing off that they were in bad shape. Back 9 greens were in great shape for a public course. Several par 5's over 600 yds.
Painted Hills Golf Club
Played On 08/12/2015Very Impressed
I was told prior to playing that the greens had gone a major renovation and the course was in good shape. I was very impressed with the quality of the greens. It is not a super long course but you have to be accurate off the tee. Pace of play was pretty slow for the front 9 but it opened up after that.
Thank you very much for your kind comments about our service as our team works very hard to make sure every guest feels special. We are glad you found us and were able to play Hawk's Landing on your recent visit to Orlando and look for ward to your return.
Thank you for the 4-Star rating and for taking the time to write the review, it is very much appreciated.
Good Golfing!!
