Heritage Oaks Golf Club
Played On 01/03/2024Pretty good condition for winter golf. Greens a bit fuzzy but running true.
Just feel that it’s a bit too expensive. About 10-15 dollars less would be just right.

The course is great, nice layout, some challenging holes. It can have wet areas as the course is low. But the pace of play was maddening. Some people just shouldn’t play on a real course until they’ve gotten some kind of game, no matter how bad it could be. And the lack of golf etiquette is frustrating. We had this single jump us as a twosome, when the course was full, and he ends up holding us up every hole as there was nowhere to go. A single has no status on a course, but this old dude just jumped us while we were putting out. I’m sorry to say we never saw a marshall or I would have reported him. In addition, a Marshall could have suggested to others to speed pace of play. When a round takes 5 hours, there is something wrong. No one needs a golf gestappo as a Marshall, but an assistant to help everyone enjoy there round would have helped. Still a good course for the money. Friendly staff. It’s just that golf etiquette should be king. Golf should be fun, not frustrating,

Played On 09/02/2021Good course
Greens were still recovering from aeration, so that was a not great. Tee boxes were struggling. Sparse grass on them. The fairways are beautiful. Good course for the bucks, but can’t rate to highly because of the tee boxes. Also felt like I should have been informed about the green air action recovery .

Played On 09/24/2020Poor shape
You would think in September, everything would be green, lush green. Nope. Fairways were brown, sparse, and same for the rough. This is my favorite course every time I’m in Hilton Head. But this time told me they are struggling and the course was no where near what it should have been. The bunkers had no sand, but lakes of water in them. Yet the fairways and rough were brown as is if they were never watered and the fairways looked like they were as dormant as they are in January. My advise, play elsewhere. Huge disappointment for my favorite course.

Played On 02/02/2019Great course but before the season
Fairways very sparse during this time of year. Have played it during regular seasonal play and has always been well groomed, plush fairways, quick manicured greens. Highly recommend just not so much during pre- season.
Heritage Oaks Golf Club
Played On 05/31/2015Lots of water
Only complaint was the confusion and back up on the 10 th par three substituted for the repair of #17. Way to many people on tee box and waiting, way to many people on green. Need to have much more organization to ovoid the confusion and hold up.
Average for time of year
Very wet after three days of rain so not really actual depiction of how good the course can be

Fairways and greens needed water ,some badly. The greens were airated awhile back and they were still very wide open holes. Putting ws very difficult because of the open airation holes.
