Eagle Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/09/2016Eagle Creek, definitely worth playing
This course is one of the most underrated in all of Orlando. With just so much golf in the area it can happen but this is one to put on your list. The course offers a ton of variety and you will hit every club in your bag. Condition is very good and greens are true. Throw in incredible pricing and this one is worth the drive.
ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 06/19/2016Champions Gate - National Course a bit overrated
Considering the amount of golf in the area and the price to play there are a lot better options. Course conditions were average and some of the holes are quite forgettable. Not a bad course there are just better option within 30-minutes.
ChampionsGate Country Club
Played On 06/18/2016Play it while you can...
Rumor has it this course will be going private but is currently open to the public. Manicured to perfection with very quick greens this course is a real test for any level player. In my opinion, offers way better value than it's two neighbor courses the National & International at Champions Gate Resort.
Manatee Cove Golf Course
Played On 05/07/2016Manatee Cove is a hidden gem
Manatee Cove requires military ID or a civilian pass however if you meet those requirements than Manatee Cove is a great place to play. Nice Practice area, Decent Pro Shop, Great Clubhouse for drinking and eating, and the course conditions are very good. Situated between the river and the ocean this course gets windy which can make the same hole play very short or very long depending on wind direction. The greens are beautiful and some of the best in the area. Add in the very affordable price tag, especially in the afternoon, and you have a must play.
Hunter's Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/16/2016Hunter's Creek Solid Value
Hunter's Creek off-peak season pricing makes it one to seriously consider adding to your list. Convenient location, better than average conditions, and a number of very challenging holes. While, hazards are in play the course is more than fair outside of a couple very narrow tee shots. Lots of golf in this area but if you can play it for under $40 it is well worth it.
Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
Played On 04/03/2016One of the top courses in the county!
I play Duran at least once a month and it always delivers. The course is always in very good condition and the greens are beautiful and true. Large, wide fairways abound but steer it offline and trouble lurks in the form of deep bunkers and watery graves. Easily one of the best courses in the county, if you are from out of the area and visiting the Melbourne area make sure you put Duran on your list of must-plays.
The Preserve at Turnbull Bay
Played On 03/19/2016Turnbull Bay, there are better options...
The course has a decent design and is affordable however the course conditions were well below average. The greens were spotty and bumpy and made for a frustrating day of putting. The fairways were also very spotty. On more than one occasion I found myself in the middle of the fairway hitting off dirt. Simply put, too many other options in the area to waste your time here.
LPGA International - Jones Course
Played On 03/05/2016Easily One of the Best Courses in FL!
As a Florida golfer who has traveled all over the state I can tell you the LPGA courses are as good as it gets. Manicured to perfection with tons of variety from hole-to-hole. Bring your A-game because these courses present challenges on every shot and allow you to hit every club in your bag. If you are visiting Central Florida you owe it to yourself to experience what LPGA has to offer, worth an extra couple of dollars to play.
