Easy course, fun experience

We actually played 18 on Saturday and 15 in the rain on Sunday May 1. Had a good time both days. Pace was relaxed, a lot of early season games happening, so things weren't too high paced. Course was in good shape, although when the rough grows in as the summer comes it will be a lot harder to play from...if at all. Great staff, lots of fun.

Even in the rain - fun course to play

As the season starts turning, we had a first cool wet game in a long time at Shawneeki yesterday. The course played well, even with some big puddles here and there. Not a beginners course unless you're playing best ball.

Great Executive 18

This is a good course for beginners and more experienced players to work on their short game. Lots of fun, interesting challenges, and plays quickly. Something there to enjoy for everyone. No water out on the course, so bring your water bottle. Keep your eyes and ears open, lots of new players mean errant balls are frequent. Also means there are lots of free balls to find in the abundant gorse and rough.

Casual 9 holes - lots of fun

After a long road trip, we wanted to play 9 holes to unwind. Walked on, grabbed some drinks and had an enjoyable experience. Very scenic, not too hard, easy going golfers.

Fun vacation course

We played in Thunder Bay while in town. Very pretty course, and fun for all players. Back 9 seemed longer than front 9, but were not frustrated with the challenge. Local players know it well and go fast through the holes.

Grounds crew were patient and thoughtful to players - always a considerate part of the atmosphere.

Good local course

I've played Uplands a number of times, and usually find it to be enjoyable and very scenic. There is a tendency for the course to back up as the pace of play bogs down. Add in some newer players and a few blind tee locations and you can have golf balls raining on you. Stay alert and have fun.

Fun course to play

Great morning round during the summer. Very pretty, long holes, short holes, not too hard for new players, some challenges for more experienced players. Mini-putt and driving range there too. Good staff, good pace of play.

Fun downtown Toronto course

Like the other review, great course for players of all ages. The course can be played well under 3 hours, even when some players might be moving a little slowly. Always convenient for people living downtown to get out and play a quick game without having to layer on travel times to anywhere else.

Hidden Gem

This course is definitely out of the way, but once you make it, you are in for a unique treat. The course is adventuresome to play, and while we played in the early spring, it showed promise of becoming more fun as the summer went on. Very wet in the low parts of the course when we played. The old military grounds were interesting to look at and play around.
