The course has nine par 3s. That will turn some off - however, for those who do play and know what's ahead of them they will find a few interesting holes that are well worth the greens fees.

A green surrounded by sand, some dramatic elevation changes, a few challenging hazard holes, and one mighty dogleg that combines narrow approach shots, water hazards and a good drop off the tee box that allows a good drive to soar.

It's an intriguing course, if not a classic course. If you want to see some different holes, and don't mind the reduced distance, you'll be happy.

You could comment on the course needing more investment in its grounds, or on the substantial number of Par 3s, but this is an amazing public course that plays swiftly for the money.
