Eagle's Pointe Golf Club

The course has come a long way In a year. In April.24, it is back to playable conditions again. The greens are back to 7 or 8 out of 10. The fringe is rough, lots of bare spots so impossible to chip and very rough to try to putt thru. The fairways have some tough spots, but overall easy to play on.
If the course continues to improve at this rate, it will be a course worth looking forward to playing again by the end of the year.

This course continues to prove to be my favorite in the area.
Great layout, can play very different depending on the tees you choose and always fun to visit.

The course was in horrible shape - the greens were unplayable. The clubhouse was open only in the pro shop- not the bar or snack area. Could not even buy a water at the turn. When we complained about the conditions to the cart guy at the end, he blew us off and said it was better shape now that it had been a few months before.

When we had played here back in June, the greens were nice if maybe a touch slow. The rest of course conditions were acceptable to good. But the greens yesterday were awful. Simply unplayable- bumpy, cratered and slow.
The course has a nice layout - 15th hole excluded. The round move along okay until the last 5 holes. There were 7 groups backed up on the last two holes.
The staff inside was friendly, but I don't see us going back.

We love Old South and look forward to our annual round. Course in great shape, a few of the greens are being treated, but they had the pins always from the problem areas. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our only disappointment today was the fact the bar/pub was closed for the day. It's nice they gave them the day off on Mothers day, but could not even get water or any drinks all day (except vending maching on 12th hole.)

Old south.is one of my favorites for good reason. Fun layout, well maintained, and friendly staff. A must play each trip to Hilton head!

Having played at island west over the last 25 years, I can honestly say that I have never seen this course in such excellent shape from tee to green.

Rose Hill Golf Club

Most of the course was in fair to good shape, but unfortunately 4 of the greens were in very rough shape.
The course was surprisingly light on golfers for a beautiful Sunday morning, so place was great at 3 1/2 hours.
Because of conditions, I would recommend this for beginners or casual golfers only, but bring lots of balls as it can be tight and with plenty of water to swallow up errant shots.

If you are staying on the island, spend the extra 10 minutes and keep driving by all the other golf courses to play this one! This may be where I end up in 20 years when it is time to retire.

Once again, another great day at old south. If only I could par #6!
Hi "Don8414585" Thanks for playing Old South Golf Links. Hole 6 can be a challenging hole. The key is to stay right of center off your tee shot. For your second always go for the left side of the green regardless of pin position. The right side of the green will eat up your ball and will result in a automatic bogey! Give it another try and let us know how you do.
