I played Sunset Valley last year, but was only able to play the front 9 twice due to flooding on the back nine. The course was in good condition and the layout is challenging, but fun. Brought a friend who said he'll definitely be back. Tucked between other country clubs, this is a great public track.

This was my first round at Turnberry. My understanding is that it was a private club and now has opened up to the public. I saw critical reviews complaining about weeds and poor conditions, but I didn't experience that. The only complaint was regarding the bunkers. They are rock hard and not regularly maintained. Fortunately I didn't find any of them during my round. Overall a pretty interesting layout with several challenging, but all fair holes. Just a couple of forced carries and plenty of mature trees that makes things interesting if you get caught up in them. I enjoyed the round and will be back.

Paid to play the Gold Course since I had tried to play the Blue last year, but got rained out. If you use GolfNow they simply give you a 'ticket' when you check in and it doesn't say which course you are playing. Got to the starter and he asked which course I wanted to play since there was a foursome of young women who were teeing off on the Gold Course. I told him that I paid for Gold so that's what I was going to play. He didn't seem pleased, but said it was my call. The women were not great and struggled off the tee and with their subsequent shots. I teed off, but then decided to pass them. Once I got past them, each twosome and threesome in front of them let me play through. Nice bunch of people out there that day. Shot well, had perfect weather, and met some nice folks that let me play through. What's not to like.

Got a great deal on GolfNow so I drove out to get 18 in. Pretty empty when I arrived. Was supposed to be teamed up with others, but they let me go on my own. I didn't know where the first tee was and there was no signage, so I went back into the ProShop and asked. They told me and warned me about the greens being small. They were correct and the advice helped. Interesting older course winding through an older neighborhood in Crete. A bit out of the way, but I liked this course more than others that I've played in the area. Balmoral Woods is the other course near here that I really enjoyed.

I had heard about course for many years & we decided to give it a shot. Fun and challenging course. Well worn, but not necessarily in a bad way. Mature course is probably the way to put it. Not a high end course, but we'll come and play again since the location works well for myself & my golf partner.

This is my second time playing this course. Some holes are challenging due to the features surrounding the course like the railroad track, a creek/river, and woods. Some holes are wide open and others are tight due to wooded areas and swampy areas along some fairways.

I love this course. I also love getting out first thing in the morning and getting done in less than 2.5 hours. Some of my best rounds have been at this awesome course. It's a hidden secret as far as I'm concerned.

This is the best course that I've ever played. Excellent layout. Errant shots are penalized and I had plenty of those, but still had a blast! Played 2 course in NW Michigan on this trip and I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Excellent staff that was very accommodating.

Grabbed a Hot Deal for $11 walking that we could not pass up. Met some friends from the city since it's about halfway between us. 2nd time we've met here. Shot pretty well and pace was okay for a holiday. Waited a little bit on each hole as group in front cleared. We'll be back.

I have played the other two (2) Joliet courses and seemed to like this one the least. Favorite is Woodruff basically for the back nine. Wedgewood has some interesting holes also. Inwood was fine, but is a bit beat up compared to the other courses. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens were in good condition. Greens as is typical with this type of course had lots of unrepaired ball marks. Come on folks, fix the courses you play! I will come back and play Inwood again if the price is good.

Had not played here in years. Great course, but hard to find good deals. Took some co-workers. Had a great time and the course was in great condition. Didn't see the beverage cart except for one time in 18 holes, so that wasn't good, but was told later that they go in early and we teed off around 2 pm. Ranger ended up going in and grabbing us some beverages. I'll be back and hopefully sooner rather than later.

Wanted to walk 9 holes in the morning, so I did that at my hometown course & then grabbed a good deal at Carriage Greens. Paired with a couple of good guys Mike & Dan. Had a great day. Shot a good round for me. Pace was decent. Not waiting at all which was a bog improvement to the previous week.

Even though the weather was in the 40's, I could not pass up the chance to play the Lakewood course for $15 including the cart. Had not played this course in years. I didn't shoot well, but I also don't usually play when it is this cold. Great mature course with challenging holes for a beginner to intermediate golfer. Good golfers could tear this course up if you know how the holes set up.

Grabbed an early morning time and got out even earlier. Twosome in front let me through. Front 9 are pretty basic straight holes. If you hit straight you can go low. Back is a little more hilly and has some dog legs. I liked the back better than the front. Standing water on some holes on the back, but we've had a lot of rain. Short course at par 68 and no par 5's, but still fun and challenging course. I'll be back.

Got a great deal on GolfNow so I gave the course a shot. Got out early but ran into several beginners that slowed things down a little. They all let me play thru though. Overall course in okay shape. Not a bad municipal course but there are better in the area. Probably won't play again unless I get another great deal like this one.

So my review is probably slanted a bit since I shot the best round of my life, but I could not pass up ~$17 to play 18 with a cart at this fun course. Only had one person working, but it worked out fine. Aeration had occurred in the morning, but I got there for my tee time early and I was let out. Ran into a twosome and foursome that were very nice and allowed me to play through. Perfect end to a great day. Overall conditions were good on the course. Of course the greens were a little bumpy due to the morning aeration, but overall in good shape for this time of year.

I had not played the course in years. It has remainded the same in many ways, but in other improved. The conditions were good on the course. Not too crowded. Pace was good. Tall fescue grass is still unforgiving. Trees have grown, but not too much. Still a great place to get 18 holes in.

Got an early morning Sunday tee time for 9 holes. Great deal that includes the cart. Scorecard looks like water would be the major issue, which is it on many holes for those of us who have a hard time hitting it straight, but the bunkers were killer during this 9 holes. Would be worth another visit though at the price that I paid,

Look no further. No it's not challenging, but it might just give you a little boost of confidence like it did for me. Open and forgiving it's a great little par 4 & par 3 course. Got a great GolfNow deal and hooked up with a family of three (3) for a great 1.5 hour round. I'll be back.

Looked for a decent course for the money and found it. Course was not too difficult, but challenging enough. Interesting south suburbs crowd at the course. Pace of play was good for a Sunday since I had read other reviews recently complaining about this. There was an outing going out after us though, so maybe later in the day it would have been bad.
