I started playing this course because a good friend of mine lives in Lenoir. This use to be one of my absolute favorite places to play.......USE to be. Flooding has completely destroyed it. Half the fairways are dirt, the traps are washed out, the cart paths are washed out. I had been avoiding playing here for almost a year because of this but my buddy said driving by it daily looks like they had it back in shape. The greens were pretty ok they had just watered them before we got there (around 4:30) they were soft and rolled pretty true. Lots of ball marks though clearly the people who play here often don’t know how to use a divot tool........ all in all if you don’t book on golf now they want 31 dollars a round and that’s about 20 dollars too much for the condition the course is in. I won’t evwn pay the 22.50 it is on golf now. Maybe we will try again next year?

This was the second time I tried playing this course. First time we had to play the back nine twice because of course maintenance. Well On our way to tee off a foursome of members literally ran their cart through the bushes to beat us to the tee. They played much much slower than us and had no consideration for our threesome at all. So I decided to try the course out again because I still wanted to play the front nine. Well we set up a tee time through gn again for 3 o’clock. When we got there the pro shop worker argued with me about the price and tried telling me a different price. He made me pull up my phone to show him the reservation like I was lying about it. Then after we paid and 15 mins now after our tee time on our way out the door he told us “oh by the way carts have to be back by 5:30” I was like how are we supposed to finish 18 holes in less than 2 hours after you’ve delayed us on our tee time?! Very rude and very frustrating. When we brought the cart back at 535 and after only finishing 12 holes the staff member was sitting outside talking to another 2 guests. When we were walking back to the parking lot we heard the two guys say “well we’re gunna go ahead and finish the front 9 (mind you this is now at 545 when they said we had to be back by 530) the staff member waves at him and told him to finish strong. I will never ever play this course again both times I played left and absolutely awful taste in my mouth.
