Loch Nairn Golf Course
Played On 07/31/2019Nice course
Loch Nairn is a good public course. It get a lot of play but they do a greet job of keeping it groomed. There are always areas that are wet because of natural springs an that is exacerbated by the heavy rains we have had.. Sand traps are in general nee of attention. This has some nice features an is always a fun day.

Played On 06/05/2019Still needs work
A good course for beginners and casual play. The course had issues some years ago and has not fully recovered. They sodded the greens November 2017 but the green condition is rough and running very slow.. The lay out is good with wooded edges that can cause trouble if you do not stay on the fairway. It has been dry finally here and the roll out was good but could lead to trouble. Rough was a bit longer than I am used to and balls that nestle down were difficult to find. The electric carts are a plus and quiet. It is obvious they are working to improve the conditions of the greens, tee boxes and fairways. It would be helpful if players would be courteous enough to repair ball marks and divots.
A nice course and good value for the dollar.

Played On 03/01/2019Good casual practice
We have played this course several times and always enjoy our round. This is a shorter course with strait forward lay out that is excellent for that short game practice. Not a sand trap in sight but a few water hazzards come into play. The greens are in good condition and challenging because of the slopes and pin positions. A good course for beginners as well.
Thank you for the 4-star review! We're glad you always enjoy your rounds of golf with us. Be sure to book your next tee time with us soon.
Palm Cove Golf and Yacht Club

Our favorite course in the area. It was particularly challenging because of the wind. It was stacked up and play was slowed but not a serious issue and we did not feel rushed or restrained. This course has some difficult areas so one lays needs extra balls!p's. Drop areas are not marked.
My main complaint on the front nine is that there is no on course facilities.

My wife and I first started playing this course last Spring. We have returned to Fl. for a winter break and this was the first time back. The course is well kept and laid out among the properties. Some of the homes are located where it is easy to slice or hook and hit a roof. Gets into ones head at times. We always lose a number of balls because of water and rough but a solid golfer can control hit enough to keep in the fairways. It is a lovely course as well.
This year some greens were a bit worn and needed attention. All were well dressed and true for putting. The staff is always very accommodating and friendly.
You will want to keep returning as well.
Sailfish Sands Golf Course - Sands Reversible Black Course
Played On 04/17/2018Airport near the Blue course
This is a little confusing since Golf Now offers the Gold/Blue course. For 18 holes, you play both because they are 9 holes each. The Blue (10-18) if near the airport and a bit noisy with the jets coming and going.
The course is well maintained and challenging for the first time playing, with a few hidden hazards. Greens are in great shape but were a little slow the day we played. Close to the ocean, the breeze was cool on a hot day and made for perfect conditions. I would like to return now that I have seen the lay out.
They also have the Red and White courses so you have plenty of opportunity for great golf.
Jensen Beach Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2018One of the better courses
This is a great course! First time playing is a challenge on the blind holes. Fortunately we paired with a veteran which helped on hidden hazards tee locations. It is long and challenging and more so in the dry conditions where slopes would allow marginal shots to find rough.. Take extra balls if you drive somewhat errantly. Greens were in good condition, true and fast.
An
Truly enjoyable course.
The Champion Turf Club at St. James
Played On 03/24/2018Challenging course excellent greens
This is a great course that challenges all level players. It is long with generally wide fair ways but mis hits will cost you unless you are capable of recovering. It favors a long ball hitter, but that 2nd shot is critical. The greens are true and fast especially in the current dry conditions.
The only down side is the groups are closely spaced and you will need to be patient on the tee. Speed players will not like it. We find this an enjoyable course to play.
The Shores of North River Golf Club
Played On 03/19/2018Friendly warm up
Short par 66 course which is fairly open with just a few water features. Good course to play if you have not been active and before going out to one of the premier courses. They usually have a full schedule with the hot deals but play moves at a good pace. The shortness is complimented by the greens that seem to be true and sloped to make it a bit more challenging. Always a nice game with friendly folks.
Palm Cove Golf and Yacht Club
Played On 01/29/2018Friendly, challenging course
We have played this course several times and it Is always easier the second time. The lay out can confuse the first time. The conditions are good with lovely course and well kept greens and fairways. Some water like everywhere in Fl . We find the staff especially pleasant and helpful. If you slice or draw on the tee you will need extra balls for sure.
