Good greens and didn't lose a ball. They have a good amount of water. Flat and nice open fairways.

place was empty...don't know how they can afford to keep this place open...greens were spotty and lots of barren areas in the fairways

hadn't played this course in over 10 years..... was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the greens
they were small,fast and challenging
I got a hole in one on hole #2 which was a bonus

the layout is good but the greens were like putting on a beat up asphalt road

I have played this course for 20 plus years since it opened. Sadly it has fallen into a bad state.... lots of barren areas and ground under repair. The greens were still in good shape, but that is about all that was.

played on a whim as a single over thanksgiving..... nice classic layout in very good shape......greens were fast and true ..... very playable and walkable.... will play again when in the area

old fashioned course with mature trees and ample fairways.... due to the openness of the course I actually played the whole round with the same ball!

front 9 is a bit dull but the back 9 has some elevation and is more interesting.... worth the hassle of getting on base

front 9 is a bit boring but greens are in good condition
you may lose some balls on the back 9
hole 11 is very tight and has a tricky green
hole 15 is a great dogleg left par 4.... easy to 3 putt
driving range is pretty beat up
overall a good time

This course has a great layout with challenging greens. Unfortunately it is not being maintained well. There are multiple areas of mud where leaking pipes are being ignored. Lots of dried up grass is left after mowing and the rough is inconsistent due to neglect. I'm sure there are financial reasons for the poor maintenance, but it is sad to see a once great course fade to a beaten down muni track.

played the creek 9 and the stonehouse 9...... the creek 9 was flat and on the verge of boring although it was in great shape....

stonehouse 9 was totally different.... elevation changes and some forced carry....several of the holes played 20% longer into the wind

not worth $80, but $40 or less is a good deal

the greens were all pocked up like a bad outbreak of acne.... not sure what they need to do

hadn't played here in several years.... the course was pretty beat up and the place stunk of all the stagnant water..... location is great but I won't be back

there is nothing like this course around.... no trees and often it is difficult to know where to aim

the ditch that runs thru the course is often hidden and difficult to avoid..... greens are in good shape but very slow

the ponds are full of slimy green mucus or drained.
it looks like the place may be going bankrupt

there are definitely better courses but castle creek is still a decent course and a value for the budget hacker

interesting holes including some short par 4s
course is open enough for the average duffer to usually find their ball
when the wind whips up it can become quite a challenge.... morning is definitely calmer
no cart girl so bring your own beverages and snacks
on the 12th hole play the right half of the fairway to beat the slope
