Treated well, nice bar cart, beautiful conditions , great greens...the only complaint is not enough actual sand in the traps...also, GPS in carts would be a plus...but not if the rates go up...we paid 75 a man for a prime Sat 9:12 tee time...very fair...similar course down the street (Rustic Cyn) is 90 with the GPS...,

Got a good rate for Mothers day since our festivities were done the day before due to conflicting schedules...sent out a single...super friendly staff and bar cart gal...greens in A shape after the 3 week old punching..fairways B minus...some hardpan, some crab grass, but no big deal - Im a muni guy and bump the ball a little so all good. Tee boxes solid B plus...the layout is very sporty and intersting - the flip wedge par 3s are all tricky due to elevation, the par fours are all very solid, and the signature 17th island green always impresses...I promise you this is the most challenging and interesting par 61 course you will ever play! Plus the water and ravines invite tons of cool birds and creatures...saw a really cool skunk minding his own business...and, solid burger available and nice bar area...good proshop...didn’t use the range but it’s mats, which is a bummer...all in all a GREAT day!

Normally not an executive course guy, but I had a morning to kill in Valencia after dropping Mrs. Dufferpauly off at the eye doctor for a 3 hour test...been about 10 years since I had been here...IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Fascinating and sporty layout, great greens, and solid breakfast...I will be back!

Played this monring early on a great GN rate...greens some of the best I’ve ever seen - medium fast and true! Fairways good to excellent, sand good...great layout - the par 4s are challenging (9 and 10 are very hard 4s) and while a couple of par 3s are flip wedges, bunkers guard everything...most of the par 3s are tough...gorgeous island hole 17 from an elevated tee box...staff great, and breakfast was delicious too...give VV a try!

I play here a lot, and always on good GN deals...only Nicklaus design in LA county...top shelf from the moment you arrive...great layout, great conditions...only complaint was no bar cart,...

I have always liked KCC...old school course...but this course is crowded...super slow round...part of the problem are the tons of guys playing from all the way back...we played in about 5 1/2 hours...KCC is always fun, and GN usually has some good deals

Got a really good GN rate...showed up and was treated great - played valley and desert...course is really coming along! Greens were GREAT...tee boxes a little shaggy, and not all the lakes are filled up, but they have done a ton of work to the course and are still doing more...wonderful experience at Sand Canyon!

Got a slightly reduced GN rate for this Nicklaus course...from the moment I walked my bag to the bag drop to the moment we packed up and left, the experience was top shelf...pro shop staff, bag drop staff, starter, bar cart gal - all fantastic! Got hot dogs and a turkey wrap delivered right to our carts via the GPS...course is in beautiful shape...we have paid 3x as much at Trump National in PV - Angeles much better!

This place is great...great layout, super conditions, fantastic greens...only disappointment was that on Mondays the grill is not open...too bad because the food is excellent!

Played Arroyo at Red Rock - got a GN and had a coupon so I paid 85 bucks...truly beautiful setting -took me about 25 minutes to drive there from the south strip...went off in the first group at 7am...nice carts, beautiful pro shop, very friendly fellow in the pro shop...I luckily played with two locals, because the holes are REALLY spaced out from each other...tee boxes great, most fairways very good (a few holes are 90 degree carts becasue they are in recovery mode -we bumped the ball with the foot wedge a little -no big deal...but the highlight (lowlight for my game) was the LIGHTNING fast greens...above the hole was a three jack everytime...really a treat to play on such fast, tour-like greens! Views of Red Rock area superb...also, all kinds of tee choices...we played blues and had a blast! This is a really fun course with a private club feel at daily fee prices...nit the cheapest course in Vegas, but overall my new favorite!

we heard a lot about Sand Canyon since it changed owners and name...frankly, the reviews were all over the place, from “fantastic” to “avoid at all costs...”. We found a 50 a man Sunday rate, so my regular foursome snagged it. We are avid players who play all over SoCal, and we are muni players...the handicaps range from 8 to 24, and two play from Blues and 2 play from Whites...so what I am trying to say is that we are players...we know golf...so here is the review: the layout and views are nothing short of spectacular! Almost every hole is stunning! The comditions range from good to borderline poor in spots, but they are really trying. We played winter rules so all was well...the greens were slow but good, wih the exception of a par three on the back side with a horrendous “auto 2 putt” temp...also we experienced something we have never seen - on an otherwise beautiful hole and green, there were three foot high foot wide piles of sand...very odd...now for the add ons - breakfast was solid, if not fancy...best part was Bridgette, who was a true delight working counter...the starter was terrific, and the pro shop is first class...didn’t use or even see the range, and the putting green was closed. Clubhouse is spectacular and opulent. Appeared to be a very nice bar and grill upstairs, but was not open to service our 10:30 tee time.

So what’s the verdict? Play this course and keep an open mind...they had a devastating fire a couple of years back, and the drought hurt. Is it pristine and perfect? No. Is it a spectacular venue for golf? Yes! Is it worth 50 bucks? Without question. Is it worth 100? No, not yet. So find a deal and drink it all in!

Played here today (Sunday) on a GN tee time for 100 bucks - worth every penny! Course is fantastic shape, greens terrific, bunkers good (I experienced many of them), staff great, clubhouse world class and lunch was terrific! Don't miss Angeles National! Only issue is never saw the bar cart...

Has the 8:12 GN for 4 - miserable weather - on and off hard rain...was given the option to call it quits, which I appreciated...we went out there and the course was in great shape, considering the drought...greens excellent! A few bare spots in the fairway but all white chalk outlined for a drop...bar cart girl super cute and bubbly and took credit cards...we avoid the coffee shop as it is overpriced and only average...nice proshop - good sale on shoes going on...covered range...overall 5 stars...

Brookside is an old, storied facility - LA Open was played there once, and lots of celebrities used to play there...today it is jam packed with players, as American Golf (the operator of this muni) allows fivesomes...greens are always good - very fast and very tricky...fairways are hit and miss - some bare spots - this place is next to the Rose Bowl, and during football season the course is literally the stadium parking lot - it does less damage than you would think, but it does do some...clubhouse boats the NICEST proshop you will ever see, and the grill is great - wonderful views and good, solid food...had fish and chips yesterday after the round and they were fantastic, and at 10 bucks, well priced. They have a real chef there and it shows...green fees at 60 are too much for this - always go with GolfNow here

Grabbed a cheap GN time at this former private club that is now open for outside play...The good - nice proshop, grass range, great chipping areas, really interesting back nine layout, greens and tee boxes green and in nice shape - the fair - fairways are brown with bare spots...the bad - entire place has the feel of a 1980 club with zombies walking around...guy working the grill looks like a Duck Dynasty guy, complete with bandana on this head and size M motorcycyle T-shirt on a XL body...hot dog was disgusting, bud light draft in red solo cup was foamy...this place may have been nice once, but it is very odd...front nine surrounded by houses that appear to be in a ghetto - unkempt yards, blow up pools, pit bulls and confederate flags...back nine houses much nicer...

2:24 GN time - had a coupon so only cost 11 bucks ...we went out ONE HOUR LATE!!! Paired up with three other singles - good guys...but this course is PACKED! And way too many hacks playing from the black tees - HEY WILSON, CLOSE THOSE TEES ON WEEKENDS!

Beautiful course in the heart of LA...greens excellent...fairways almost too lush...proshop features degenerate golf hustler counter guy - pretty funny...bar food average...cobb salad had bell peppers - really?

BV always delivers - great GN rate, nice proshop, 9 dollar pitchers of suds, lots of hills and views and shade - and great greens! Only issue is the terrible drinking fountains and the money stealing soda machines on the course - get a bar cart, BV!

Overall great experience, as usual...Hansen is always dependable, in great shape, fun and the pace of play if you get out early is fine. Coffee shop and bar are 70s tired, not mid century cool, and there is no pro shop. Range is mats, but lighted. Course filled with regulars, since this is not exactly a chic part of LA. I am always amazed at the constant maintence crew activity all over the course, explaining why in the last 30 years I have never seen this course in poor shape.

Booked the hot deal rate (20 bucks) for Thursday golf 11:53...arriived, got right out, played as a single, and breezed thru the day - course in fine shape (still a few patches of greens repair here and there) ...RL is a very nice links layout, filled with water, forced carries, "thinking" holes, and two tirered greens...sand in bunkers could be better. Clubhouse and proshop are high end country club style - staff is terrific!

55 dollar golfnow rate outstanding value on this terrific and interesting layout. Tee boxes, fairways, collars, rough and most greens excellent - a couple of the greens need some work...but had a great day 78 with a water ball on 15) and played with two good fellows...
