Homestead Farms Golf Club
Played On 08/17/2014Pay attention
Been awhile since I"d played this course and the housing has spread out around the place. Still the homes don"t come into play unless you are real wild.
A good idea if you haven:t played here before is to pick up the yardage book as there are some hidden hazards and some holes you have to play target golf.
Was dissapointed that the food shack had no sandwiches at two o:clock on a weekend. Lots of bugs around some of the water hazards because of the low water level caused by our warm summer. No mosquitos and overall a great course in good shape.

had to laugh when some visitors to the area asked if the course was an easy walk. NOT. But it can be walked but I recommend a cart. Narrow in spots and very enjoyable. A little tough on new golfers . Played it twenty years ago and was glad too finally get back. Course in great shape even after two days of rain. Won:t wait twenty years to play it again.

We were warmly greeted on arrival at the bag drop and again in the pro shop. As we had arrived very early for our tee time with the intention of a good warm up they offered to put us out earlier with a single member. We took it and the member turned out to be about as nice as you could ask to play with. The course was in spectacular shape, greens very quick. some of the grass in the rough was US Open thick and tough to get out of. Beautiful treed course with great facilities. Lots of water hazards but we never lost a ball. Can't wait to get back there.
