Oxmoor Country Club
Played On 10/03/2018One of my favorite courses in the Louiville area.
Great course, great layout. Lots of variations in holes.
The condition of the course was not good. Fairways were sparse and lots of weeds. Greens had been recently plugged. Traps were terrible. These conditions are not normal for this course and will hopefully improve over the Fall and Winter.
Kelly Plantation Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2018Bad day on the course
We were a foursome. The starter told us we could go 10 minutes early, on time or up to 20 minutes late because it was a light day and the course would be open behind us. We chose to hit a few practice balls and go on time.
As we were leaving the tee area a twosome came to the tee behind us. By the second hole they were pushing us. On the 3rd tee we let them play through.
By the time we reached the 3rd green there was another twosome behind us pushing us.
In the 4th fairway a ranger came out and yelled at us for being behind and holding up the course.
On the 5th tee we let yet another twosome play through. On the 7th tee we let another twosome play through. At the turn we spoke with the starter and explained there was no way a foursome could stay ahead of twosomes and we were not enjoying the situation forced upon us. He told us to ignore the warnings and enjoy our round.
on the 11th tee we let another twosome play through.
Again on the 15th tee another twosome.
On the 18th hole as we were finishing up another twosome was coming behind us.
A very frustrating day on a poorly managed golf course!
Jacaranda West Country Club
Played On 01/18/2017Beautiful day at the golf course
Very nice, helpful staff. Course was in very good shape. My wife and I were paired with 2 gentlemen who had played the course before which was very helpful. Course can be challenging from the back tees but we played up tees which made it much easier. Still very enjoyable. Greens had been top dressed so they were slow but held approach shots well. Traps are the best I've seen in a while. Fairways are grown in nicely and the rough is not deep but still hard to hit from.
Overall I would recommend and would definitely play again.
Henry County Country Club
Played On 07/27/2015Always a good course in good condition
The course is challenging but fair. Wide open for the most part. Par 3's are long and very challenging. Greens are very good.

Links at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
Played On 04/07/2015Links golf
Course is in the best condition I've seen in several years. Tees and greens are very good, fairways average. Lots of sand and water. Most scenic of the Sandestin complex(4 different courses). Pace of play was horrible.
Emerald Bay Golf Club
Played On 04/05/2015Emerald Bay GC
Course was OK. Recent renovations didn't impress.
Fairways were a little sparse. Course is pretty much the same as it has always been. Great layout, just not in very good condition.
Disappointing.

Plenty of challenging holes to test your game.
Greens are good and traps are also.
Fairways are still dormant but plenty of grass.
Glenmary Country Club
Played On 03/31/2015Sad course
This a good layout but unfortunately very poor condition. Put it out of its misery and close the course. Would make a better goat ranch.
The course is terrible and they obviously don't care.
Save your money!

Played On 03/16/2015This course could be very good.
Course is sloppy wet as usual, making is less enjoyable to play.
Long Run Golf Course
Played On 02/08/2015Good public course
The front side is mature and fairly open. The back side is more narrow and usually muddy. Plays long for the average golfer.

Played On 03/30/2014Indian Bayou
Year after year Indian Bayou is the best conditioned course on our Spring Break trip. Always consistent and always very enjoyable. This course is a must-play when in Destin.

Course is one our regulars on Spring Break. This year, however the greens were not up to usual standards. Hopefully, next year will be better.
Polo Fields Golf & Country Club, The

Great layout. Narrow fairways and very tall, thick rough. Greens are in perfect condition and very receptive.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
Played On 3/4/2013Course is nice
Course is overrated. It's OK, but not a destination course.
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold
Played On 3/1/2013Great golf
The course was in excellent condition, and very challenging. Lots of water. A nice "Florida" type course in the desert.
Will play again anytime I'm in the area.
Heritage Hill Golf Club

Heritage Hill never disappoints. The course is always well-maintained and fun to play. The pace of play is good.
Tanglewood Golf Course
Played On 2/11/2013Tanglewood
Generally the course was in less than good condition. But, it is very early in the year. It will get better. The greens were very good for this time of year.
Lots of blind shots on this course.
Let me start off by saying thank you for taking time to let us know about your experience. Protocol for two-somes is to pair them up when possible. The challenge we run into on slower days is that's two-somes may be several tee times apart so pairing them up just doesn't happen. As you know two-somes tend to play faster than foursomes and can run up on them fairly quickly. I can certainly tell you that your situation should of been met with kindness and it sounds like you didn't feel this is what happened. Our main concern is making sure each golfer that chooses to spend their hard earned money here is treated with nothing but genuine courtesy. I am happy to see you still gave us a 5 STAR review in light of the experience with our pace of play host. Please let us have another chance at showing you our full potential in guest relations. My name is Ashton Crowe and I am the HEAD P.G.A. GOLF PROFESSIONAL here. I would enjoy meeting you in person and thanking you for your insight.
