Chomonix Golf Course
Played On 07/30/2016Needs a Redesign
Played the course this afternoon for the first time. To be honest, I've never seen a course do so little with so much (i.e. the natural scenery is beautiful). The whole track should be torn up and redesigned. There are a few nice holes, but way too many holes that are purely target golf. Number 5 (or 6), is the worst par 5 I've ever played, with two severe doglegs and trees too high to cut either one. Number 7 is an embarrassment to course design, as is number 18. About 4 or 5 greens were under construction, which I was not told prior to going out. The fairways and greens are both cut ridiculously long. It's a shame that this amazing piece of land is stuck with such a poorly-conceived course.
Eagle Valley Golf Course
Played On 06/04/2016Nice course - Even better service
Not the most demanding track in the area, but it's always nicely maintained and has a great variety of holes that make it a ton of fun to play. Driving range is excellent as well. What makes this course stand out is the customer service...some of the best I've experienced at a public course each time I've played. Last weekend, I realized I had forgotten my wallet as I was walking into the clubhouse, but the head pro Josh honored a voucher that I told him that I had anyways. So great to see a business that's dedicated to getting customers to come back again and again.
