We went on out and played even though the temp Was in the 40’s with winds around 20 mph. That is why we had no pace of play issues; haha. Course was in fine condition. Even with the weather we had a great time. Greens were in great shape, held well and rolled true.

This review would have been higher except the majority of the fairways (at least where is was landing) was hard pan. This is due to time of year but I also suspect there was a lack of watering and even “punching that led to the severity of the condition. I will say on the back nine i found more grass but overall you were better off driving in the rough versus the fairways. This track has been on my “places to play” for many years since my parents lived in Granbury. This was my first visit and I love the design! Lots of risk and reward shots for golfers of all levels. The tee setups appear to be good equalizers when you have different levels of players. Regarding the pace of play we were a foursome who had a twosome ahead of us. They were novices and we waited on every tee box, however it appeared to us that they were waiting on the foursome ahead of them who were very very slow playing.

I have to say the greens were FANTASTIC. Great shape and true rolls to the reads. Pretty quick but fair…

Overall we had a great time even with the hard pan and the waits. We will be back to play it iSpring/Summer conditions to test it again.

Great day at Clear Creek! Cooler day after the rain yesterday. Course had dried out well. Should be really good in a few days. Get out there.

If the greens had been freshly mowed and the traps shown some TLC this would be one of my favorites on North side of Dallas Tx.

Great track, loved the layout and the condition was fantastic some of the best greens I have played in the area.

Tee boxes and fairways were also great fully recovers from Ice storm Ida.

Will play it often when visiting my son and his family!

Atascocita has always been a favorite track….but the work they have done to Bing it back” has worked…Loved playing there today.

Fair layout with a few simple holes and others much more difficult. Always in great shape.

What a great track, The upgrades made in 2014 are fantastic. Course played great, and was in fantastic shape.

This used to be a special hidden gem track, probably the best golf value in Texas. NO MORE. No maintenance is being done, greens were horrendous, fairways and tee boxes were worse. There is no way it is worth $20 a round much less $42 per person that my wife and I paid. It is so sad to see such a great track be mistreated. Someone needs to save this place. I wish I had the money, I hope the new owner decides to invest.

The sand traps are just rocks and pebbles, weeds grass burrs and crab grass aRe everywhere. To top it off they are not mowing making it impossible to putt....

Don’t waste your time or money until they get it right....

This was such a huge disappointment we are in our 35 Th anniversary trip and played some wonderful tracks a lot Barton Creek. We were supposed to end the trip with a found at Landa Park but it closed due to COVID exposure. So I decided to grab a tee time at what I had considered the best hidden jewel in Texas, Pine Forest Golf Club in Bastrop. What a waste of our time, our money and of a wonderful track. I had not been there in several years while we lived over seas. I really cannot believe how bad it has slipped. The cart paths are terrible, traps are filled with pebbles and rocks greens were not mowed and have crab grass and bare spots galore. The fairways and tee boxes were horrendous. I hope the new owner plans to spend some money to revitalize.

What a great layout. Fantastic challenge, water, sand and tight but forgiving fairways if you handle the driver well it is no problem to score. Greens are always nice, quick butt not unforgiving? Get out there and play it as soon as you can. Today might have been our best golf day of 2019, light wind high 60’s.. Greens rolled fair and true.

Wow what a fun track. Greens were in good not perfect shape, held well but were a bit slow. Fairways could use some TLC. Rough was long and SOGGY...

All in all it is a great value for a really good track. Interesting holes. Par 3’s are tough for women but most of the other holes are fair.

Great day for golf. My wife finally relented and went out to play for the first time since we moved back to Texas from the Middle East. She loved the layout and at one point had 4 pars in a row. Now she is ready to play all the time if we play at Glenbrook. Awesome day, nice people and fun course. Thanks

A few weeks after Hurricane Harvey and you would only know it due to the club house being closed due to flood damage. The course was in great condition, greens were great, putted true, a little slow but held the ball really well. We will play it again. The best part is it is the best value in Houston. Put it up there with Wildcat and Balckhorse even Golf Club of Houston at a fraction of the cost, especially if you are lucky enough to be 55+...

Nice place, really feels open like a links style layout but the rough can get hairy real quick so accuracy off the tee is still essential. Different tees so for a longtime single digit handicapper who is right at 60 and reconciling the distance loss I could move up a tee box and still have a shot at the 5's in two.

Although I expect most Houston area course are still very soggy it seemed that Tour 18 was very very wet. I played at Magnolia creek the day before and it had really drained and the traps though wet were well maintained. Not so at Tour 18. The traps were very disappointing. Lots of water, washed out no real good sand. Of course I had a few balls in them so maybe I am a bit jaded. Overall the greens were in decent shape and they rolled really true and reasonably fast...

It needs some capital to bring it back to the level I remember when it first opened. But it is still fun to think about all those famous holes...and if you could really play them that well....

We had planned a tight schedule relying on the airline (UNITED FYI) to get us to Florida on time. We had 2.5 hours with an airport to course commute of 20-30 minutes. Our flight was of course 2.5 hours late leaving. As the take off kept moving I was in contact with the staff who were very friendly and helpful and they accommodated us and got us right on. Played a different configuration but still had a great time. North course was in better shape than the east in our opinion. Would have enjoyed playing the south instead of east. But UNITED took care of that with a truly inexcusable delay.

OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE AT GRAND CYPRESS.
