Pembroke Country Club
Played On 07/13/2023Good course, not great. $49 with cart is a bargain
I think allowing carts on the path only keeps the fairways in good shape. That's the good news. Also some of the greens are very green and seem soft. They roll well. The bad news is that there are bare spots in certain fairways and uncertain greens for example the 10th green. Also the distance on the scorecard for the 10th hole has to be wrong by at least 50 yards.
Hot. Deal on golf now is worthwhile. Wouldn't pay full rate on weekend. This course was in better shape when I was a kid. They used to host the Plymouth county Jr championship here. The good news is that it looks like their doing a lot of work
Squirrel Run Country Club
Played On 05/31/2023Good value for practicing short game!
I've played here many times. Nice little course. Greens could be in better shape. Grass was sparse in some areas.

Short par 3 course. Your pitching wedge had better work! Lots of 90 yrd holes.

Played On 05/10/2020Lots of road noise from I95
The greens had just been aerated so that's not their fault. But definitely some bare spots in fairway and rough.
Hello carlito17. Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. After our greens heal we should be in great shape. Thanks for visiting us and we hope you give us a try after our greens heal!

Stoneybrook Golf Club
Played On 04/20/2019Nice course
All good things to say except one. I felt the speed of the greens varied a bit. Otherwise interesting layout and it's in great shape
Wildcat Crossing Golf Club
Played On 03/30/2018This place sucks a big one
This place sucks a big one. The greens are in horrific shape. They're seriously diseased and there are lots of bare spots. The rough is in horrible shape too.
The starter was nowhere to be seen initially. I had to go in to the Pro Shop and ask where he was. He was having lunch for half an hour and people were just letting themselves on the course. Finally he came out and paired me up with somebody.
Not an easy course. Greens were quick and there's plenty of water.
I won't be back!
Arrowhead Golf Course
Played On 03/25/2018Interesting course layout
Arrowhead is an interesting golf course with lots of water. You'd better be able to hit the ball straight. I was playing really well on the front nine and it shot a 40, so it's possible to score well. The back nine was a little tougher for me.
Overall the course is in good shape. Southwest Florida is in desperate need of water so the fairways are a little dried up. But I don't really fault them that. Overall I really like the course and I would go back.
Bumpy greens and fairways could use more grass
I got a crazy $15 deal on golfnow so it's hard to complain. The course clearly gets a lot of play. Lots of unfixed ball marks and spike marks on green. Fairways not in great shape.
Whiskey Creek Country Club
Played On 01/26/2017Shake off some rust
If you need to shake off some rust, this executive course might do the trick. The greens were in pretty good shape, but the fairways had some issues.
El Rio Golf Club
Played On 02/11/2016OK, not great
Short course. Conditions not great.
San Carlos Golf Club
Played On 01/31/2016This place is overpriced by a lot
It's a fairly wide-open course, so it's good for beginners. Course conditions were OK, not great. Pace of play on Sunday was terrible. Skipped 1 hole so we could finish.
Quail Village Golf Club
Played On 01/25/2016Played Front 9 - not really worth your time
I can't believe the rating this course has.
If it weren't for absolutely perfect weather (70) and a friendly staff, I would have given this course 1 star. But, I'm in a good mood so two stars it is! Ignore Golfnow.com rating. I can't believe how high it is, quite frankly.
The putting surface is just sad - the greens are diseases and scuffed up from old people dragging their spikes. It's also very short except for one par 5. We paid $35 for 9 holes and I wouldn't pay it again.
Segregansett Country Club
Played On 05/18/2015There are some interesting tee shots. Be Careful what you use!
Challenging course. 127 slope from white tees.
Pace of play was good! Tee boxes and greens are near one another, and the course it flat. Feel free to walk it. The greens are in pretty good shape, though a little bumpy on the back. Overall, I though the turf was in nice shape.
There are some interesting tee shots. I found lots of bunkers. Not a great day for yours truly, but it was a beautiful 70 degrees out and I played OK. (shot a 90)
I'd go back if I were in the area - it's an hr from my home. I paid the super discounted rate of $24 on golfnow.com and you can too. Just look for hot deals. I wouldn't have minded paying another $15 or so. It's probably worth double what I paid. (or more)
Weathervane Golf Club
Played On 05/16/2015nice 9 hole layout. good condition on the course
There is no clubhouse, and the parking lot is dirt. Also, my cart backfired several times which is a first for me. I felt like Jed Clampett. Yee ha!
Other than that, course is in great shape and the layout is interesting. It's on the short side, so if you want 3,000 yards then play the black tees.
Also worth mentioning: there are green tees to make it an executive length if you want to bring along a young one learning the game. (Or a lady friend)
