We used a cart when we golfed yesterday, but noticed there were a lot of walkers. And it is a great course for walking. Fairways are in real good shape and greens are as well. Was a great day to be out in the golf course. And, we were surprised when one of the course marshals drove up, and we were wondering what he needed to speak to us about, and he had cookies to give out to everybody in our foursome!
He said they give them out every day on the course… What a great way to Build loyalty and good will.

Really enjoyed golfing at Viewpoint Executive. Fairways are mowed evenly & greens are in real good shape. Roughs are higher and a bit of challenge to hit out of. Runs through a senior community, so some fairways are tight. Had lunch at Fat Willy’s afterwards...great sport bar at the course. My wife and I plan on golfing here again.

Three Of us drove up from Chandler to play this morning. Had never golfed here before, so didn’t know what to expect. Course is in excellent shape and has some good mountain views, especially on the back nine. We are looking forward to coming back.

Just one short par 4 hole on this course and several interesting par three holes. Wonderful views on almost all holes!

Drove from Chandler to Johnson Ranch, and the 35 minute drive was worth it. Starter Rich got us going on time, with good direction and good humor. Golfers right in front of us and behind us, and never felt that we waited at all, and didn't feel people from behind pressuring us either. Front 9 is the "mountain" side, and my memory of playing before was that there were a lot of narrow fairways. My memory was faulty. Most tees are good to go with a driver. The back 9 is more open, and more of a residential run. Lots of interesting fairways and greens on the course. A good challenge, but not so much that we were frustrated.

Course is in excellent shape. Several different tees to hit from. Choosing the right one according to handicap helps with the enjoyment, and pace of the game. Greens are fast but consistent.

San Marcos has spent some money updating the course and it shows. Nicely trimmed fairways and fast greens. And, there are workers out continuing to upkeep the course. Not too many years ago, dead branches and trees were left to lay. Workers are out taking care of the course...what a great change!

First time to San Marcos this year, with 3 other guys that hadn't ever been there. Everybody had a great time. Fairways are trimmed nicely and greens are moderately fast. A huge improvement over the course conditions from 2 years ago and before.
Definitely will come back.
And, a Little Marcos course has been added in the driving range space, where beginners can learn or more experienced can practice their short game. Prices so you pay once and can golf all day if you want to for Little Marcos.

Very nice course with some amazing views. All par 3's, except for one short par 4. Greens are in great shape. Short but kind of narrow fairways. Lots of trees and water on several holes too , so a nice challenge. Very walkable, but green fees we purchased included cart. Next time we'll walk.

Played the 4Peaks and SanTan 9's. First time at this course. Very pleased with the condition, considering it was right after overseeding. 4Peaks was 90 degree and SanTan was carthpath only. Greens were slower on the SanTan and fairways on both 9's were in great shape. Not much sand or water and free drops out of the granite, so a wonderful starter course, or course to work on the short game. And of course, a very nice view of the mountains in the area: Superstition, 4Peaks and SanTan.

Great course to work on short game and several holes on each 9 where you can use driver or 3 wood. Greens have been in great shape all year long!

Took lessons earlier in November from Mike Barnett. He and the other pros are excellent. They have a wonderful practice area and driving range too.

Haven't golfed the Bear in the last year, but have talked to several people who have and they love it. Longer and more of a challenge but always in excellent shape. Great value!
