Village Green Country Club
Played On 09/17/2018Flood damage
This course drains poorly and several areas have unrepaired flood damage. Very bare areas off fairways. Poorly maintained. No drinking water anywhere on tee boxes.
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately two holes sit in a watershed. The areas that flooded impacts #3 and half of #6. Both areas were reseeded and repaired a week before you played. #3 was playing as a modified par 3 and #6 was completely reopened. To state that the course is poorly maintained and has bare areas, is simply untrue. There are few if any bare areas in the fairways and the course receives feedback as to how nice the course is. As for drinking water on the course, it is a policy of the course not to have drinking water on the course due to liability and player safety and contamination issues. It's for the well-being of the customer. Once again, thank you for your review.
Deerfield Golf Club
Played On 08/13/2018Bunkers need work
Overall Deerfield is an enjoyable course to play. For a public course it is in good shape and the grounds are well cared for. Only problem was bunkers with not enough sand cover. I ground my club into the clay bottom more than once.
Makray Memorial Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2018tough greens
Course layout is great and fair. Greens are fast, sloped, and two putts are a bonus for first time player.
Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
