Played On 03/25/2024Fun Course But Poorly Managed
We've had periodic problems at this course before with waiting for carts to come back in and slow play but this round was the worst!
Took 3 hours to play 9 holes and it wasn't like the groups in front of us were to blame. Every group we could see (probably 4 or 5) were waiting. No, I blame the management for over booking tee times and not leaving sufficient time between groups.
After 9 holes we couldn't take it anymore and headed back to the club house. But do you think there was any chance of getting a credit? Absolutely not!
Management only thinks about one thing...revenue. It's really a shame because I like the course and often bring my out of town guests, but no more. I'm done with this place!

I had concerns after reading several negative reviews but found th course to be quite playable and a great value for the area. There were a handful of greens that were bad, but most were playable. It also looks to me like the owners are making a sincere effort to restore the course to what it once was.

I wasn't expecting much given how inexpensive the green fees were. I was pleasantly surprised. Course was in really decent shape. Greens were quick and true. Back 9 was a little too wide open to be very interesting but quite playable. I would definitely play it again.

We played this course a couple of years ago and suffered through some bad conditions as they renovated. We booked again this year anxious to see the results.
All I can say is it was extremely disappointing. The rough was full of weeds and the bunkers were in poor condition. The greens were in good shape and the fairways were ok. Staff was pleasant and friendly, but overall I could not recommend this course.

My wife and I play a lot of different courses when traveling. We are accustomed to courteous staff, but the staff at Hawk's Landing are truly the friendliest we've ever experienced. We were celebrating our anniversary and made a brief comment to one of the cart attendants. We were playing the 9th hole when Mike the Director of Golf came up and personally congratulated us. If that wasn't enough, when we finished our round we were handed a handwritten card with a heartfelt congratulations on our anniversary signed by a dozen of the staff.
This is Tony the owner, and you are completely misrepresenting the way we do business. We do not over book tee times, we maintain 8 minute spacing, and do our best to move players along. We get as many complaints about rangers doing their jobs as we do for them not doing their jobs. Please read other reviews for a better understanding of who we are. We are known for being a great value. Making baseless accusations is not helpful.
