Beautiful views! Accuracy is important on this challenging course. There is a 500 yard par 5 from the reds!

Manage tee times better! Times were off by at least half an hour and then the course was really stacked up.
Starfire Golf Club - The King Course

The greens on the Squire course are not in good shape although the fairways were in great shape and it is quiet and pretty back there. On the other hand, the greens on the Hawk and King course are in much better shape although some of the holes run parallel to busy surface streets. The big disadvantage is that there is no regular driving range although a person can buy a small bag of "practice balls, not regular golf balls," to warm up with but nobody at the check in desk mentions that unless a person asks about it. The bag guys, desk people, restaurant staff and MOST of the rangers are super friendly. We did have a misunderstanding with one of the rangers who could have handled the situation in a more respectful and friendly manner, but her treatment of us won't keep us from going back there. Rates fluctuate depending on how the tourist trade is going, but that is to be expected being a local living in a tourist area and it can be frustrating although a person hopes the running of the course stays lucrative enough to keep it flourishing.

The staff is friendly especially the starter. The course plays long and many of the greens have sand traps on both sides!
Paradise Valley Golf Course

This course has great practice facilities -- driving range, chipping green and putting green. This course offers an inexpensive way to practice a player's "short" game. It is a bargain but it can be regarded as an aging diva.
