Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 01/07/2018Great course - even better staff
I haven't played in Las Vegas before so I cannot comment as much on the value for the area but I was very pleased for what I paid compared to what I usually pay for a nicer course around St. Louis, MO. The course had great views all around and was in great shape. Greens were not too tough and not too much trouble to get into. I was a single sandwiched in between many foursomes and two or three marshals checked on me throughout the round and tried to help but I had a nice round and didn't feel like it took forever for a Sunday round. Could get windy and make it a tough go but plenty of grass and the rough is not a penalty. Played from the black tees and didn't feel like anything was out of reach.

This is one of the best public courses around St. Louis
Paradise Valley Golf & Country Club

The front 9 is short and you don't need to take out the big stick too often. The back was a different 9 holes. I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course and the greens were in good shape. I played with a buddy and we took our time and still finished in 3.5 hours without pressing anyone and nobody was on our heels. Not the most challenging course but I enjoyed playing and would be back if the price was close to winter rates during the summer months.
Missouri Bluffs Golf Club

Take all of this into account when reading this review: I was the first one out (2.5 hours for the round), got a great price since I was a single and booked through Golfnow, and it was the fall/winter when I played.
Great course, wide open and all off the par 3's are downhill. So when you look at the yardage on the card, don't get scared of the length of the par 3's. I thought the course was in great shape and the greens were in perfect condition. The bunkers and rough around the greens were in great shape, the pin placements were not too terribly tough, and tee boxes were level. My review may be biased a bit since my last memory of the course was an eagle on the final hole but I know that I will play this course again. I normally play courses around hwys 270 & 55 and along hwy 255 in IL so I usually don't get out to Chesterfield but this is now in the rotation. I would like to see this course in the summer months with the zoysia fairways or in the fall with the trees changing colors. Great views from the tee box and from the fairways to the greens.
In short, I was very impressed with the Bluffs and I am going to keep this course in my rotation.
