Everything about the two Marriott courses is 5 star. The Palms gets most publicity’ but for me the Valley is the hidden gem, challenging with excellently laid out holes it’s a real challenge off the back tees so if your like me with a h/c in the teens try the black/blue combo!

Course is relatively straight forward and is mainly play it as you see it type track, beware of the bunkers, far too much sand in them , (twice my ball buried/almost completely hidden in the face of a bunker with an impossible shot left), someone needs to tell the green keeper a properly designed bunker the ball should roll back from the face not be completely buried!
It’s an acceptable cheap practice course but it’s sister course the resort is better.

From the friendliness of the staff on arrival to the superb layout of the course this turned out to be an excellent days golf. The course has everything, a relatively easy start to get you warmed up, wide fairways and moderately protected greens, then once you think a good score is on the cards it slowly turns the screw, culminating in a narrow drive on the par 5 17th with trouble either side to the superbly laid out 18th with water in play off the tee and then a shot to the green over water to go for your par. The course was superb, greens slightly slower than expected but ran true fairways cut and rough playable, i think you get the picture, i loved it, i am going back in a couple of days. I strongly recommend it. The lady in the pro shop "Patty" was very helpful and friendly too.

Staff great, fascinates excellent, course in great condition and challenging, greens true, food and drink and service in the clubhouse second to none, i do not know of any better value in the desert, well done to all concerned and to new visitors, get it booked! (have played the Legend course too, and though not as challenging the greens were excellent).

From the moment i arrived i could tell this course was special, the attendant took my bag and guided me to the pro shop and once checked in after a warm up on the range i went onto a practice green that was as smooth as a high class carpet. The course and greens didn't disappoint, definitely 5* in my opinion, not to be missed. An excellent challenge that could become a tough one if the wind blows!

Fairways average, greens bumpy and slow, our round was terribly slow as there were two three ball ladies groups in front (apparently regular locals) who refused to let us through.
Staff not particularly helpful or friendly (marshall disinterested and abrupt), one saving grace was the food in the clubhouse was reasonable value (though it didn't open for breakfast until 10am!) There are a couple of testing holes where there is water staggered both sides of fairway, otherwise pretty straight forward play as you see course, i would recommend it as a cheap warm up round type course if just arriving on vacation before moving on to bigger and better!

Sailed round the course in 2.5hrs on my own, (seemed like mainly local players on the course and all were very friendly and let me play through), really enjoyed the challenge from the back tee's, making some of the holes long and testing. With several tee's to choose from ALL level of golfers would enjoy this course

Superb challenge off the tips, fantastic value excellently maintained course, just be advised to check wind forecast before booking, otherwise my number one choice in the desert!

I played off the tips and found it a great test, though not a long course, off blue and white tee's its a lot more forgiving...off the back tee the par 5 645yd 3rd on the West course is a must! And if you like a gallery watching then the 5th and 6th holes on the West course are ideal too, with condo's, restaurants and bars surrounding both holes with plenty of water to deal with its a brilliant challenge!!
I would recommend this course for all levels of golfer, play and enjoy!

Not really knowing what to expect i was pleasantly surprised with the quality and standard of the course and staff attitude. The only minor disappointment was being made to tee off on hole 10 due to a ladies group block booking the first tee, my first round would have been nice to have played in the correct order! That aside the course was excellent, the starter was a particularly friendly guy who even drove out to us after 8 holes to take our halfway house order!
The mix between challenging holes and forgiving holes was just the right for a 10-20 handicapper and i really enjoyed the experience, will definitely return for another round in the near future.

Some deceptively easy looking short par 4's require straight hitting accuracy and accurate iron play , assisted by challenging par 3's and a couple of long accurate par 5's makes for an interesting round of golf! The only negative I could find is that the bunkers were a little bare and consequently tougher to get out of, but I suppose the secret is....DONT GO IN THEM!

Perhaps not the best time to play the course as work was starting to re-seed, but still, this is a quality course, beautifully laid out with stunning views, some challenging holes and a warm welcome in the restaurant afterwards! I will definitely be playing here again and recommend it to golfers of scratch to 18 H/C as a great challenge!

Not having played here before i was impressed with the quality of fairways and greens, its a challenging course, some holes being long and every green is well protected, its also beautifully laid out, (the 18th is quality). I will be back for a second round very quickly!

Nicely laid out with true greens, practice facilities are in good order, staff friendly, all in all a nice experience for mid range golfers!
