Maybe it was the summer months that has taken it's toll, but it's pretty bare out there... greens had been punched and were on the way to recovery... could be a really nice track with some extra attention, and proper watering... summer afternoon rate in line with conditions... I'll see what the winter offers.

Punched greens, give it a few more weeks... Will be good after that...worth a visit... Starter was an absolute gem... Able to get is out in front of the pack as a twosome.

Very much a true Florida muni...and well worth a visit...fun vibe at the pro shop and driving range...food truck on premise (didn't try it, will next time)...Liked the back nine more than the front, but slooooweeed down considerably...can recommend and will return.

One of my regular tracks...opens early...stays late..it's hard enough, but will not overwhelm...can play with various handicaps...conditions usually quite good by mid-season...need some bug repellent for first few holes in the summer...but a good value...very friendly group of folks, from check-in to starters...Keep up the great work.

Fantastic! Everything about this place screams resort course. Friendly faces in the pro shop and at the starter's hut. On the course at the appointed time and absolutely stunning track.

Small landing areas, lots of tilt, fast-ish greens make this a place a challenge. Well worth a visit.

Consider a round during the fall. Views must be specatular.

Really enjoyed my time here. Course conditions were excellent, staff absolutely terrific.

Greens are fast, undulating but true. You're gonna need that soft touch on these babies.

Fairways are generally wide enough that a slight miss doesn't put you out of a hole. Water comes into play frequently, but mostly left and right of the fairways. One of the back side holes, however, taunts with water in front of the green and a false front that begs for balls to get wet. Play to the middle back on that one.

Grass driving range, nice chipping and putting greens round out a lovely experience.

Will absolutely return.

Wow...what an absolute shocker of a course. And I mean that in the best possible way.

First few holes you may start to worry this is gonna be one of those scruffy municipal courses you wished you had just decided against. But keep grinding and you will be paid off.

The back nine? Killer good. Long water carries, exceptionally tough, undulating greens and a more open feel than the front side. Really fun to play.

Greens were fast all the way around, so play to the front and hope you don't roll off.

Give those course a shot. This ain't one to sleep on.

I'll be honest, I had minimal expectations heading in here. I'm not the biggest fan of up-and-down golf, but this course made me a fan. Big elevation changes here, but once you embrace it, all goes better than planned. Good conditons. Greens fast and true. If nothing else, the views are outstanding. Very happy to have made the plunge. Will definitely be back.

Really enjoy this track. Gets better the more you get on it. Played from the Gold and it was as much as I could handle. Some very long shots for me into the greens. Excellent conditions. Greens nice and healed up and running true. If you get a chance, get on this one. You won't be sorry.

Greens and fairways were healing from recent aeration so give it another week or so. Once all healed up, should be an excellent fall track. Not the longest course you will play, even from the tips, but accuracy is required. Couple of really nice long par 3s. Par 5s are most certainly getable. Definitely recommend.

Look, I knew going in this wasn't going to be TPC quality. With that in mind, and the desire to play a low-stress round with my teenaged son, we decided to give Clearbrook a go. It's fine. It's OK. It's a nine-holder built inside a 1990's Florida-style housing complex. Fairways are relatively narrow, so that makes it somewhat challenging. Some very, very odd tee boxes that require hitting through and over mature trees. Greens are slow, slow, slow and folks there clearly don't know about fixing divots. All that said, just go out and hit. Have fun. Enjoy the time with your playing partner(s). Just don't expect much.

You have about those two options on this course -- like it or hate it. I happen to like it. A lot. Very tight and tree-lined. Definitely not a bomber's course. Can't play fairway to fairway here, but hit your spots and you will have a nice card to show for it.

Staff always a pleasure here. If they can get you right out they will, if not they will tell you so.

Nothing at the turn, save for a soda machine, so put a Power Bar in your bag if you think you might get the hungries.

Conditions were good...greens rolled fast and true....lots of break...Tee boxes were pristine....we played from the tips...makes a challenging course more so...too much up and down for me, but it was enjoyable nonetheless...would recommend...and will consider playing again.

Excellent track tucked away in Odessa. The Eagles has two courses and I played 'em both. Liked Forest better than Lake but I. Would play them both again. Forest takes you. Away. From the housing which I liked. Play from the back tees and the Par 4s become a real test. Course conditions were good, despite the torrential 25 minute downpour. A few greens needed some work but overall quite good.

Interesting...and enjoyable lay-out... but tight, so bring you best iron game...greens are generally crowned so really need to be sharp with wedge and putter...not terribly long, but don't let that fool you...lots to work with here...didn't stop at the pub after but heard good things about Mulligans.

There are some tracks you just take a shine too. For whatever reason, that's Spooky Brook.It's open and wide, and just a whole lot of fun.

Great for the novice, and some tiered greens and longish Par 4s that will test the low handicapper. Staff is accomodating and friendly. Pace of play has been absolutely stellar the last two rounds (I should probably tell you all the exact opposite, so I can keep playing my sub-four rounds).

OK, my only pidding suggestion -- make drinking water more available.

Beyond that, this is a great little treat of a course.

So long as you level-set expectations, this is a fun little track. Tee boxes mostly need work, fairways are a grade above crab grass, greens are generally slow. All that said, this is a fun outing that will remind you, perhaps, of the courses you grew up on, where you learned to play. Nothing too tricked up, though we did play from tips and that made a few holes a wee bit interesting.

No ammenities to speak of, and if you book through GolfNow, be sure to let the pro shop guy know. He was awful crabby that I didn't say anything before he rang us up on his circa-1985 cash register.

Go for a weekday afternoon when you just want to get out.

Had no idea what to expect, and as such, was pleasantly surprised. Fun, little course, albeit out-of-the-way a bit. Well maintained. Greens are small, and fairways on the narrow side so accuracy is a priority. Some really excellent long Par 3's that will test the low irons, or fairway metals.

Played an afternoon round on a Thursday and the pace of play was super. Had to wait just slightlyt, but nothing that hurt tempo.

Will certainly be back. Should be lovely in the fall.

Have played here many times in the past, all seasons...Enjoyable enough to come back...Generally good experience this time around, but was exceptionally crowded...I'm going to chalk it up to being Wednesday and the docs were on the course, but still....waited on most tee boxes and in the fairways...had trouble getting any type of tempo...a few rangers on the course would have been helpful...that said, decent value and will be back for another shot...probably sooner, rather than later.

Short, and sometimes tight. Great opportunity to work on hitting fairways and approach irons. Course requires more strategic approach, particulary the par 5s. Greens well-maintained for a county course. Really pleased with the friendly staff. Onlty drawback might be that more beginners play the course and can potentially slow the pace. That said, would play again for sure.
