Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Ussher's Creek
Played On 07/28/2023Cart path only rule is STUPID one on this course
This course should be closed completely when cart path only applies because it can't. Not only it makes the pace so slow most of the time you end up walking to your ball with the wrong club to use. It happen also on the hottest day of the summer. I only managed to put up with the nonsense for 15 holes the QUIT. The 9 holes makes you place your ball far away from the cart path to approach the hole and walk long to get to your ball. If you plan to play this course call them first and if cart path only rule is enforced STAY AWAY don't Waste your money and time.

Played On 10/08/2022Serious problem with Duck droppings
There are a lot of duck wastes all over the place. I cannot even put my clubs down on the grass cause the duck wastes is all over the place. A course north of Toronto solved their problem by having 1 dog chase these ducks out of fairways and greens. They should do the same.
Rolling Hills Golf Club - Challenge
Played On 10/05/2022Plays well for a senior player like me
I always enjoyed playing this course because it is within my playing ability (senior distances). It is a feel good course and an easy walk even for a super senior golfer like me. My handicap below is based on this course only. I'm usually in the 10-14 range on a full course.

Played On 10/01/2022Nice course always
Any golf outing especially on a nice source depend who you get to play with. I was lucky to be playing with 3 nice gentlemen and we really enjoyed playing the golf course.

Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper
Played On 06/13/2021Playing mid-morning took an hour longer
I played this course yesterday but at 7:00am. Today I was booked at 10:12AM because I played with my buddy. Before we started I was told the early rain backed up the tee times and they were just catching up. We started around 10:30AM. There was a wait as expected on the first tee. Most if not all groups ahead of us had power carts we were both walking. Just before we started 2 golfers in a power cart showed up and thought they will be playing with us. They said we can go ahead which surprised me that the started will allow it since it was all backed up. Anyway we played and had to wait on every hole. I also noticed that there is also a 2-some behind the 2 guys following us. This is almost the reverse of what I was told the day before and I would think the starter would have insisted to have groups of 4 to be together. One of the reason it is slow is that the group in front of us with 4 carts will wait together while one of them hit the ball and all 4 will again drive to the next ball and wait for the shot??
It took more than 5 hours for us to complete and rained on us on the last 2 holes. I was aware of the rain forecast but I thought we will be done before it rain. Not if you play it more than 1 hour longer!!!

Played On 06/12/2021Almost a perfect round of golf
PROS: Course is kept very clean and putting greens are really in good shape. Pace of play is really good in spite of the 3 guys I played spent time looking for golf balls on tall grass still finish in 4 hours. Never had to wait to tee off. Rate is good based on my age (74)
CONS. The starter tried to put me with a guy in power cart booked at 6:54AM. I said I prefer to play with people who walks because I'm 74 years old and I had a really bad experience playing with people on power carts. I saw the folks who started earlier and they were slow. I suspect earlier groups would let him pass thru and I will end up running to catch up. It happened to me before and really messed up my day. The starter insisted I play with a single and I said NO. The single guy with a power cart played thru several groups and he left an hour early and must have talked to the starter that it was good I did not join him. I also stopped to talk to the starter after my round and he apologized and said the guy left an hour ago already. Other than the unscheduled lecture I got at the start it was almost a perfect round of golf.

Played On 06/02/2021A hidden GEM and not as easy as you think
This course is properly maintained and well kept. It is not for those folks just learning to golf. The course is very challenging and you have to keep your ball on the fairways to get a good score. The grass is very thick outside the fairways and you have to really hit it hard to get it out. Easy to walk except for a few holes like 2 and 9 that are hilly. This course is cheaper (if you play it twice) and in a better condition that most 18 hole courses in the area.

Played On 05/29/2021Nice layout but needs a lot of work
I played this course several years ago and it was okay at that time. However the course need a lot of work now because it was not kept to standards. I drove my first short to the right of the fairway but I could not find my ball when I got there. Several people I played with had the same problem. I see them cutting the grass but it was left longer and the cut grass was all over. I saw the most recent review and I thought he was exaggerating but it was true. I hope the current folks who own it now do a better job than what it is now. It a shame
Rolling Hills Golf Club - Classic
Played On 05/23/2021Nice course but not for what I paid $50
This course is somewhat neglected where the greens are not as good as it was. The CLUBLINK website shows $30 for this course which is about correct but I paid $45 plus tax WALKING. It is way overpriced and I only played there because it is close to my home. I will drive further now instead of playing this course unless the price is put back to what it was before. I actually played better and FULL courses for less than what I paid for this short course. I think the pandemic made a lot of people started playing golf and do not care what they pay for it. It is SAD.
Mill Run Golf Club - Highland
Played On 05/22/2021Good for short game practice
A good course to practice your short game. I normally walk but it somewhat hilly which is why I rode a cart. If you keep your ball on the fairway on longer holes you should have no problem reaching the green in two.
Rolling Hills Golf Club - Classic
Played On 04/10/2021Course not prepared properly
I'm with the 2nd group in the morning at 7:35am on a misty morning. I expect the greens sept from mildew and cleaned but it is not. Putting is hard when it is too wet and several have mud pieces all over the green. I totally wasted my money and time on this course. They charge summer rates this early in the spring and they don't even prepare the course for the golfers. They are taking advantage of the COVID situation to rob the golfers. Stay away.

Played On 04/05/2021Course well prepared for golfers
We started right on time and I found the course well prepared for golfers. The fairways were clean and the greens are also very clean for putting. Really enjoyed my time on this course.

Played On 06/09/2020Power Carts OVERPRICED !!
I played with Roger who also put in his review and I have the same problem which explains why I have not played there for many years. I usually walk but due to extreme hot weather I chose to ride and WOW was I surprised with how much they charge for it. I played many courses and I have never heard of a SINGLE rider pay $30. I was told I was getting a BARGAIN because 2 people sharing a cart cost $40. I only chose this course because of the hot deal $48 + tax and when you add the $30 power cart it is NOT WORTH IT. I can play other similar courses for less. NOT COMING BACK
Rolling Hills Golf Club - Classic
Played On 05/31/2020Need protection on tee boxes
It is always a pleasure to get your golf game going on a short course at the start of the season. Rolling Hills Classic provides that and conditions are good. However, many of the tee boxes are so close to the putting greens of the previous holes and you always worry somebody who does not have good distance control will send a golf ball in your direction. The same is true where opposing fairways are so close to each other you hear FORE so many times during the 18 hole course. I can say safety of the golfers is the only issue to this course.
Foxbridge Golf Club - South/North
Played On 05/16/2020Course not for walkers
If you like to walk when you play golf like I do then this course is NOT FOR YOU. It's my first time out after several months of winter and found a horrendous distance to walk between 9th hole and first hole on the north. It is designed to force you to rent a power cart and not walk. Not playing the course again.
Loch March Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/10/2019Very friendly staff
I was late for half an hour because the main highway was closed but the very friendly staff quickly put me with another 2 young golfers on the next available tee time. We had a good time and I tried to keep up with them on most of the holes. We finished in 4 hours which could be less if we did not have to wait a few on several holes.

Played On 10/29/2014great course this time of year
got paired up with really good golfers and ended up playing the blue tee boxes (normally play white since I'm 67 years old). Turn out I had a wonderful time getting 2 birdies, 18th which is a par 5 is one of them. I chipped in from 50 feet out saving a par from a difficult and long par 4. The excellent condition of the course and good playing buddies inspired me to raise my game level. I will be back many times to this course.
