Course was fun! Greens are fairly quick and hard but run true.
Omni La Costa Resort & Spa - Legends Course

I guess people are used to playing like Augusta or something, so many bad reviews I saw before playing this course for the first time. For being a 6 handicapper I really enjoyed it here at the Legands Course.
Pros: super friendly staff, they people just outside the pro shop are really helpful. I’m not one for riding carts but they have new super comfortable carts with gps, and a cooler (they give you ice in it). Also they hand you free range balls! I don’t like hitting from mats but hey free is free. The greens roll really nice and most of the fairways are in good shape too.
Cons: I would see why people nag of course conditions a bit but it’s really not that bad at all, yes some tee boxes aren’t the best and some dry patches here or there but let’s get real, golf is for fun if you nit pick every detail it’s usually because your having one of those days and want to find something to blame. Lastly, pace of play was a bit slow toward the end of our round (went from +2 after 11 to +6 the next 4 holes) but hey it gets slow sometimes any public course you play.
Overall: I would definitely come back here again. I paid 75$ to play and for everything you get I would say that’s about right. People get tunnel vision I think when they play because they remember that one time they played like TPC blank or Pebble Beach.... this is not one of those courses but if you looking for a fun unique course layout I would recommend this place.
