Ocala Palms Golf Club
Played On 03/16/2018ALWAYS A GAME WINNER!
Played Ocala Palms a few times and must say one of the best kept courses in the county from tee to green. The greens were perfect! This day, fog had delayed all tee times for an hour plus and a Club vs Club tournament was slotted to tee off at mid day which really put back the pace of play. The adorable young lady in the Pro Shop, Calee, was very nice and accommodating. A must play if you're in the Ocala area!
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 03/12/2018IMHO...
I was expecting an immaculate maintained course with the reputation of the resort and it's courses. I played Las Colinas and was not impressed. It started when I wanted to hit the range. $8.00 for a small bucket...don't pay for the large at $10.00 because when you go to the range, they have bushels of balls spread out and you grab what you want and hit until you're ready to go. The course was in "good" condition but the tee boxes were suspect as well as the fairways. I just expected a lot more bang for my buck coming from this resort.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 03/05/2018First TIme...
After reading about this resort and how nice the tracks are kept I finally was able to play on March 5, 2018. First red flag...I check in and ask for range balls, $8.00 for small and $10.00 for large. Pro shop lady says give this receipt to one of the cart guys...I do, he says go to the range and u get the balls there...I did...no ball machine and all I see is a hitting area for MEMBERS ONLY with a bushel of range balls and several hitting stations...I go to Gilchrist Teaching Building and one of the staff tells me I have to go back and get the balls from one of the cart guys!!! WTF...so now I go back and the cart guy says no, all of the balls are on the range! huh? now I guided back to the part of the range where you can't see from the cart path and tells me just hit these balls out of the bushel size baskets...and I ask, "no small basket?" and he says no, just hit enough until ur ready. All of this could've been avoided if the lady at the desk or cart staff would've told me this from the beginning. Looking at the prices you would think this track would be in pristine and top condition, it is not. Definitely not worth the amount you pay and the pace of play was very, very slow...since I live in the area I left after 9 holes because this round would've fallen into the 5 hr time frame for 18 holes...buyer beware.
Ridgewood Country Club
Played On 10/23/2017Always a Pleasure to Play
Played Ridgewood many times and always enjoy the ride around the Big Lake from Lakeport to Moultonborough. Makes you appreciate living in NH. The course is always in playable condition and the pro shop crew will let you know if certain areas are being worked on. Great views of the mountains surrounding the course with challenging shots and both 9's. Once you play it, you'll always come back for more...
Maplewood Golf Club
Played On 09/23/2017Another Donald Ross Challenge!
It was a perfect fall day North of the Wall. Donald Ross never fails to impress nor provide the ultimate challenge. Tree lined fairways with a bit of forgiveness and variation to keep you honest. Please be advised, THERE IS NO RANGE AT THIS COURSE! If you can shape your shots with consistency you'll do well here others beware! Its a great challenge for all skill levels. Highly recommend.
Green Valley Country Club

Played On 04/09/20172ND TIME
Nice complex, course is in good shape, greens are perfect. Would like to hit on a normal range rather than an aqua range, but hey, it's all good. Put this course on your "must play" list in central FL.
Meadows/Oaks Golf Course at Pennbrooke Fairways
Played On 04/03/2017FIRST TIME
The greens were great, fairways were better than most of the parched, thirsty fairways in FL this time of year. My only negative would be the lack of a driving range. Golfnow has "driving range" listed & they need to correct. This is the second club I've been to that has a "driving range" listed on Golfnow.com and when I arrived to hit balls, there was none!! Not very happy! I would've loved to play the other executive course b4 playing the Sanctuary.
Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Champions Course
Played On 03/27/2017Nice Complex
4 track layout, the Champions course a challenge, the other 3 are good, fun and will test your club selections. This winter is one of the driest I've seen in central FL but this complex was holding its own and the greens were good & challenging, fairways and tee boxes good.
The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
Played On 03/22/2017I'm Not Comin' Back!
The only thing that was missing on the course is the windmill and the clown! Range balls were below average as well as the range grass, putting green was half sand and it took almost 10 minutes to get to the back 9! It's a sad day when u have a drive just left or right of center of the fairway with a 110 yds left and have to either bump and run or do a Bubba Watson slice or hook to go around a tree in order to make the green and this happens on several holes. Fairways were in poor condition and greens in average state. The lady running the pro shop was very nice and gave me good local knowledge tips. No, I do not recommend the Otter course until the conditions improve!
Arlington Ridge Golf Club
Played On 03/19/2017FIRST TIME
One of the better and greener courses in central FL. Greens were slick and a few sloped at odd angles. The pin placements were tournament level for a Sunday. Big fairways that keeps you honest. Never played a Gary Koch designed course until today. Will definitely come back for more! Add it to your "Must play" list in central Florida. Hat's off to the Super and ground crew.
The Savannahs Golf Course
Played On 02/12/2017Best Round Yet!
Having played previously, I never finished 18 due to traffic pile up on the 12th hole. Joined up with one of the club's starters playing on his day off with his friend and played one of the best rounds of the winter so far. Greens were perfect, fairways good & bunkers looked average, never had to hit out of any and the weather perfect.
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 02/05/2017First TIme.
I'm handicapped and my only negative is that u can't load your clubs from the parking lot with your golf cart. Bag drop off only. Fairways were dry, but expected this time of year. Greens were perfect on all counts but the pace of play slowed right down after 5 holes. But, the ranger did warn me and was grateful. Good course, more than average water hazards but very forgiving with an average shot. GO PATS!
Sherwood Golf Club
Played On 01/15/20172nd Time...
The greens were perfect in all manners. Fairways need work but still can get a good lie. Tee boxes were like hitting out of first cut rough. In general, a good course to play 4 ur money. My first time I played, the staff was very friendly and the starter was a very nice lady and after checking in w/her and seeing that I was a single, she immediately hooked me up with a 3 some, 45 minutes b4 my tee time. Second time I played, starter asked me if I was w/Golfnow and immediately copped an attitude and was not given any freedom whatsoever on joining up with a another group teeing off earlier and he said that all golfnow players are not allowed any advantages and will tee off at the designated tee time. I sat and watched the #1 tee was player free for over 30 minutes b4 allowing me to tee off. Never had this thrown in my face after all of these years being a golfnow member since 2009! So, I wait until 10 minutes b4 my tee time to get a cart and there's a single and a senior husband/wife 2 some all booked with golfnow. I ask the single to join up with me but he wasn't allowed, he had to stay with the couple and the starter even took the couple's cooler away when all they had was Gatorade! So I have to tee up and play as a single while the other 3 had to play together. Why the starter wouldn't allow the single to play with me from the 1st tee was inexcusable and very unprofessional!??? He eventually joined me on #3 tee and we had a great 18. He also was very unimpressed and put off by this man's behavior and was going to mention this in his review as well. So golfnow members beware when u play at Sherwood. We've been PROFILED!!
The Savannahs Golf Course

Having read the previous reviews I was holding back on playing this course until I read the latest. The track is in good shape, greens are spot on, some fairway repair that u have to move ur ball, but other than that a good course. Setting is very nice and will play again and again.
Wedgefield Golf & Country Club

I couldn't turn down the price golfnow was offering to play this course. I pay that much for a large bucket of balls! The greens were excellent, fast, well manicured and a bit tricky to get the speed down. Fairways at this time of the year in FL always need to be worked on due to the lack of rain. A lot of the greens protected by bunkers and need to carry your shot in order to get on the green from a good distance. I'll play it again for sure.

Had good reviews on GA. Couldn't turn down the HotDeals green fee price. 25 minute drive from Cocoa, FL. Nice electric carts, the young lady in the pro shop was very nice and made you feel welcomed. The range was adequate as were the balls. Played as a single, course was in average shape, fairways need more time to fill in, the greens were in great shape, but slow and a bit shaggy. Played thru a few seniors and the back 9 was very slow with seniors playing the front tees. Decided to quit after #12 due to the slow pace and time of day, but drove by all of the remaining holes to see the layout the next time I come here play. Good course to work on your game.
Viera East Golf Club
Played On 12/22/2016First Time, won't be the Last Time!
I've hit the range here a few times and it's excellent. Lots of flags to shoot at and the range grass is perfect. I played with 3 local's and we were all pretty evenly matched. Weather was perfect as well as the greens. The whole course was in very good condition. Job well done to the course super and ground crew!
Great Outdoors RV & Golf Resort
Played On 11/24/2016FIRST TIME PLAYING ON THE SPACE COAST!
Having driven down on my annual migration from NH to Florida, I decided to live on the Space Coast this year. My last round of golf was in mid-October in NH and decided to play this course based on reviews on golfnow.com. The course is challenging with a more than fair share of water, but will reward you with good well placed shots. Definitely not a course to play if you haven't played in awhile. I've never seen more big alligators on a golf course in my entire experience playing golf in Florida, and I've been playing in FL since the 80's. The fariways were a bit dry since FL is going thru another early winter drought and the club was seeding the course. The greens were putting true and rewarding any good approach shot. The only negative factor on the greens were the "button weeds" that were in abundance on most holes. But after the winter seeding takes hold and the rain comes back, this course will be in top shape once again. I highly recommend, but bring your "A" game!
Loudon Country Club
Played On 08/03/2016One of My Favorites in the Lakes Region!
This is my go to course to work on every club in my bag. Don't let this course seduce you in thinking it's going to be a cake walk. A few blind fairway shots and u need to know how to hit from different lies in the fairways and around the greens. The course is in very good condition with the greens in excellent condition as of August 3, 2016.
