This course is really fun to play. It is friendly to the average golfer while the back tees offer a challenge to the lower handicappers. Plus, it is visually appealing once you are away from the clubhouse and practice facilities. Not quite up to date with gas carts and no GPS system, but that did not take away from our round. Plus, the birds and deer on the course more than made up for the lack of newer amenities. We will definitely play it again and will look for opportunities on GN to do so.

Course was badly damaged by Hurricane Ian. Plus we had additional heavy rains the day before we played. In my opinion, the course was too wet and too damaged to really have a decent round of golf. Balls were constantly getting plugged and we had to move out of water regularly. Plus there were many, many torn up patches of course due to feral pigs. I totally understand the need to get revenue flowing again but I will wait a few weeks (at least) before venturing back again. I had played Myakka Pines in the past, and I really liked it. I am sure they will eventually get back there. In the meantime, I think the rates charged should reflect the course conditions.
