I have been a member of Emerald Bay for a couple of years. Overall, I get what I pay for. More so than not, someone from my group has to call the club house because the GPS yardages are significantly off. Sometimes they are corrected, sometimes not. Some of the bridges need repair as do the cart paths. I am not sure if these repairs are on the schedule as I haven't received an email stating as such.

Course conditions (fairways, greens, etc.) have significantly improved. On the left side of hole 13 there is a wet area where carts cannot drive; it needs drainage to allow for drying of the turf.

For novice golfers a GPS in the cart would help pace of play. Beautiful course though. Not used to a course having rough where your ball disappears in the first cut; that also slowed the pace of play because I don’t always hit the fairway. The practice facility was the equivalent of a goat ranch. The signage wasn’t so clear either...practiced putting to a tee I stuck in the ground as there weren’t any holes cut out in what appeared to be the practice putting green.

The slope rating does not seem correct from the white tees. There were many parts of the course that are in disrepair. Still a fun, yet challenging round.

The greenskeeper is the best in Destin. The fairways and general course condition were outstanding, especially for this time of year. If you want to be challenged in your putting skills, play this course.

Lecours is barely maintained, with the greens in very poor condition. If you have to rent clubs, they probably have the worst clubs I’ve ever seen for use.
