Of the 4 courses I played last week, this was by far in the worst condition. I know it is winter, but the fairways were basically mud/dirt with some dead grass laying across it. You could see that the new grass was just starting, if you looked from a distance. There were tons of areas that had been resodded in the fall and not yet growing. It was good to see they were working on the course, but others were in much better shape.

Came from out of town, played on a very hot and humid day. Rented clubs, top of the line, brand new clubs for myself and wife, a lefty. Staff could not have been nicer.
Links style course, so you had good and bad bounces and luck plays a big part. Tons of bunkers and greens were perfect, but huge, mean and fast. Like missing 2’ putt fast.
Overall, loved the course, just not the heat and my score
Shell Point Golf Club
Played On 08/05/2017Good Experience
I played this course on a hot and very humid day. Thank goodness water and ice were plentiful. Course was not crowded and pace of play was very good. I lucked out and played with two "employees" of the course who were pretty good golfers overall. This helped a bit with the "hidden" canals on the back nine. They gave some helpful advice because it is easy to miss the markers that tell you distances to the hazards. But if you pay attention, you can navigate your way around this course. Overall it was in great condition, surprisingly so considering the heat. I will definitely try to play this again and redeem myself on some holes where I wilted at the end.
