I like this course, but I won't be going back on the weekend or holiday. Policy is to allow 5-somes. I've played golf all my life, and accept weekend and holiday play will be slower. That being said, compounding slow play with 5-somes is something I personally will avoid.
Too many other good course in this area in the same price range that don't allow 5-somes.

I have played this course numerous times and still find it satisfactory for the money. I have to say I was disappointed when I showed up to play Friday with my confirmed time, and there was no starter. It was a circus at the first tee getting in line. This was at 3:00PM on a Friday.
Also no Marshall on the course. My group was unable to finish before dark because the foursome ahead had zero etiquette when it came to allowing faster groups through. My group and the 3 groups behind me could not finish by 8PM because of this group. A Marshall was sorely needed.

Very favorable impression of course & staff. Would recommend to players of all skill levels.

I like to play Southwyck, course is usually in good condition, good value for the money.
I was disappointed they allowed a fivesome to tee off on a busy day. An already long day turned into a 5.5 hour round. This is not the norm there, but the starter situation is shaky at times.
Nonetheless, I will go back.

Again I was pleasantly surprised by the pace of play on a Saturday morning. Will be going back.
