Pine Creek Golf Course
Played On 10/17/2021Full price for uncut, aerated greens.
The course was in okay shape. Very disappointed that we had to pay full price for a course where the greens had not been cut in a week or two. Aeration holes were almost healed, but the greens were very hairy. My wife also ruined her 60 degree wedge, when she took a shot on #10 and there was a rusted piece of metal under her ball, that she could not see. The staff apologized for her club being ruined, but that was it.

The greens were in great shape. The tee boxes need some work. The range needs some love. New range balls are needed
Saddle Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/06/2020Great condition
It has been several years since we last played at Saddle Creek. We were thoroughly impressed with the condition of the course. The greens were a little slow, but rolled very true. We started at 8:10 and finished at 11:40. Very quick round.
Calvert City Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/12/2019Great Value
The course was in great shape. Greens were fast and true. Fairways were in great shape. Plenty of tee box options. We played our round in less than 4 hours.
South/North at Fernandina Beach Municipal Golf Course
Played On 06/30/2019Public course in a sea of private courses
The staff was great. Very informative and friendly.
The practice range was in terrible shape.
We moved over to the practice green, only to find out the greens had been recently punched. (No warnings)
We moved to the first tee, and the tee boxes were in poor condition. All tee boxes were like this.
Of course, the rest of the tee boxes were like this.
The rough was thick, so stay in the fairway.
The weeds along the cart path were tall, so watch your step.
This could be a really nice course if the city would let the course keep some of the money, for the maintenance of the course.
Smyrna Golf Course - Regulation Course
Played On 05/13/2018Awful
This was the first time playing Smyrna in 2018. It will also be the last, unless it’s free. I walked up to the counter, and the guy checking me in just stared at me. I broke the ice first, with, how are you. I told him we had a tee time for 12:30. He asked, what’s your name. I told him, and he said he didn’t have anyone at 12:30, luckily it’s open. I told him I called on Friday evening and he said they must have booked me on Saturday instead of Sunday. Strike 1 and 2, and I haven’t even paid yet. Strike 3 came, when I realized I was playing on a dirt path for $42.00 per person. My wife and I were trying to enjoy Mother’s Day golfing, the course conditions were awful. The pace of play was great. Only because, nobody wants to play the course. Do not waste your money.
The Amelia River Club
Played On 07/02/2015Great Course
We had a great time playing this course for the first time. I would suggest playing with someone that knows the course the first time out. The greens are almost healed from being punched a few weeks ago. Very nice staff and the food was excellent.
Thanks John for the great review! We're always happy to hear when our golfers enjoy their time with us. We look forward to your next visit!
Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park
Played On 07/12/2014Challenging State Park Course
The greens were very soft and receptive. The pace of the greens was slow, but they tolled pretty smoothly. 2 fairways had been reseeded recently due to the harsh winter, not bad considering what we've experienced in Middle Tennessee.
Franklin Bridge Golf Club
Played On 04/26/2014Dead grass in the Fairways
The Fairways were very hard with dead grass. The greens were fast but rolled true. Not worth $50 each.
Cedar Crest Golf Club
Played On 04/25/2014Tee Boxes
The overall course was not in bad shape. The tee boxes need a lot of work I would like for them to rebuild most of them. 18th tee box was the only good Teebox from the whites.
Windtree Golf Course
Played On 9/29/2013Needs a little attention.
The course was in pretty good condition. Most of the tee boxes needed to be cut. I only hit in to one sand trap during the round, but I did look in several of them and they need some attention. Most of them had not been raked by previous golfers and none of them had been dragged by the course attendants. Very disappointing.
Pine Creek Golf Course
Played On 8/31/2013The course was in pretty good shape.
The fairways were in very good shape. The greens were very soft and a little hairy. I believe the greens could have been cut a little tighter. The tee boxes were in the worse shape. The grass needed to be mowed on every hole except for the 18th tee box. The tee markers were too close to each other leaving only room to go back to find divot relief. One of the tee boxes had a hole in between the two markers. The biggest disappointment with the course was deffinately the tee boxes.
Towhee Club
Played On 8/18/2012Not what I expected.
I guess I had higher expectations. The course was not in great shape. The pace of play was awful. Another golfer stole one of my balls and denied it, that was frustrating. I can't remember all of the bad with the course. I guess that is why my request for a review came 5 weeks after we played the course. The course really could be a great course, if it had a littler more attention.
