2nd time playing here. Very challenging layout. You need to shape a lot of shots to play this well. Greens are extremely fast and tough. I had far too many 3-putts. Plan on spending some time on the practice green b4 your round.

The course was in great shape for this time of year. Greens are tough. My one and only complaint was with the Starter. We arrived 45 mins before our scheduled tee time to allow us time to warm up and get a little practice. The Starter put us with another 2-some 35 mins before our scheduled tee time not allowing us time to warm up. He was very rude about it. The gentleman we played with said he used to be a member but quit due to the rudeness of the staff. I concurred.

Coming from Charlotte it's a little bit of a hike but worth a trip for something different. They take good care of this course. It has a good variety of holes, some forced carries and some risk reward holes.

The wind was up and greens were slick, made for a challenging round. I should have spent more time on the practice green, took me several holes to master the very fast greens. All in all a very good round. It's a great course, worth the drive from Charlotte

I hadn't played here in several years. I read a review that said "Most Improved course in 2015" so had to see what they were talking about. The course was in great condition! You will use every club in your bag. Many opportunities to shape the ball. Greens are fast but fair with many challenges. I will definitely make an effort to return now that I have some course knowledge.

Several greens have some difficult undulations. Having knowledge of the greens could save you several strokes.

I last played this course over 2 years ago and it was in terrible shape. They have made some improvements. The fairways were great, some of the bunkers needed maintenance, and there were still some rough areas on several greens. I would have only given it a fair rating overall but we managed to snag a $15 round. For that price, this course was Great!!

You have to use every club in your bag. I was hitting iron shots from several tees. Also gave me a chance to shape the ball on several holes. A thinking mans course.

This was my second time playing there. One of the best muni courses in the area. You will use every club in your bag and have a chance to practice your ability to shape the ball. The food at the turn could use some improving but it sufficed. Questionable hot dogs, prepackaged sandwiches and vending machines. At least they sold cold beer!

I look forward to going back.

The front 9 is open with challenging greens. The back 9 has some very narrow fairways and seems to be longer. There's a 249 yd par 3 on the back, and that's from the white tees! Plus a couple of long par fours. Overall I'd say it a very challenging course, it will test all your skills.

Love playing here! You will use every club in your bag. Stay to the right on the par 5 #11, hit a good one here and you'll have a good shot at the green in two. Cool day, 1:30 tee off temp 54, so pretty much had the course to ourselves! Could have finished in 3 hrs, nobody in front of us all 18. Greens were excellent! Tee to green was good given the time of year, by May they should be perfect.
Cart paths need attention, they looked like a Pennsylvania highway after a hard Winter.

All in all, worth the drive from Charlotte, thank you GolfNow for making it economically feasible.

Difficult to determine where fairway ends and rough begins. Greens did not roll true. They punched the greens four weeks ago but still had punch marks. I understand this course is under new management. They have a lot of work to do to bring this course back. First time playing here, I loved the layout of the course. I would like to play it again under better conditions, we'll see if management makes the necessary improvements. Good weather will help.

First time out this season! The weather was beautiful, high 70's so how could you have a bad day. The course was in good shape, greens ran true and the fairways were as good as can be expected this time of year.

The only negative was the driving range was closed. I had planned on spending an hour at the range to get the cob webs out of my swing but had to do it on the course instead. I wish they had warned me when I booked my tee time, I would have gone to another driving range first.

Best conditions overall for winter golf. The greens are fast with many breaks. I don't think there are many level spots on any of the greens. Bring your big stick, even from the whites, if I didn't hit a good drive I was 180+ to the green.

I have played this course only a couple times and am impressed with it's layout. Challenging but not unforgiving. You will use every club in your bag. Many doglegs where you do not hit driver off the tee. Beautiful location and the 76 degree day didn't hurt.

Very disappointed. Course had aerated recently and was not informed. Back 9 closed due to aeration and again no info on web site when booking tee time. 5 holes of boring golf, 3 good holes of challenging golf but #9 par 4 very unfair. Very difficult to get a good lie from tee shot. 2nd shot unable to get to green and fairway slopes severely right to left. Shot hit to edge of right side rolled into woods on left. On second 9 I hit farther to right and landed in rough leaving me a shot either over tall tree or under tree. Impossible to get in position to attempt par. Wish I could comment on back 9 but probably will not return.

This was the first time we played this course and except for the jerk that stole two sleeves of balls from my cart by the bag drop (got them back when we went to the 1st tee, he was getting ready to tee off with my balls and I saw the sleeves in his cart). The course was in great shape! Had to use just about every club in my bag.

Best greens I've played so far this year. The course is in great condition. Where's the Clubhouse? It's been almost a year since Clubhouse burned down and still no sign of new one being built.

The greens and fairways are the best I've ever seen there.
The staff could be a little more attentive. Score cards not available anywhere but in pro shop but was not offered when checking in. Had to go back to pro shop to get card. As a result missed out tee off slot and had to wait for two groups ahead.

I've played this course in the past but haven't played here in a long time due to the cost. With a rack rate of $49 during the week and the lowest price I ever saw was $42. For $42 I have many better choices like Ballantyne (current special $40). Maybe I'm spoiled with so many choices in Charlotte but I've always felt this was a $35 course, no more. Other's must feel the same. We had the course to ourselves! there was another 2-some that took advantage of the $22 greens fee at the same time, but no one in front and no in in back of us.

That being said it was a fantastic deal on Golf Now for $22!!
