I have been blessed to have played there since they opened. The course was created on top of an old landfill. There are certain holes that challenge a player to carry over environmental preserved areas. You must select the right tees for your game or lose a lot of golf balls. They keep the course in excellent condition year round and the Grill serves delicious food. The practice facility is also a great place to sharpen your game.The staff in the Pro shop and Grill could not be nicer. Enjoy a fine public golf course that is an easy drive.

I have been playing there just after the course opened and it is now my home course. Mr. Byron Nelson and Mr. Joe Finger designed an outstanding Championship course in 1974. Our course is always in great shape. The course is so picturesque it is difficult to concentrate on your game. Mr. Nelson designed the greens like Augusta.... once your on the green the challenge really begins. Be sure to chose the right tee for your game or it could be a long day. We have a super Pro staff. Our Grill serves delicious food. The green fees are very reasonable for the experience you are going to have. Enjoy a great day in the Texas Hill Country.

Coors and Crenshaw learned a lot from their Bandon Dunes experience . These 17 holes are just so much fun to play and practice your short game. You go up and down and around. It is a true test of your distance control and putting abilities. You Do not want to miss the experience when you are visiting Sand Valley.

My group visited Bandon Dunes a couple of years ago and thought it was fantastic because of the golfing experience and scenic views. This is a completely different experience. This has a countryside feeling with beautiful views and some golf skills . Few level lies, some driver carries over natural areas, huge fairways and greens. The rooms are wonderful and the food was especially delicious. Needs to be on any golfer’s bucket list
